Chapter 5- My Boyfriend

Shane's POV

Before anyone could do anything the doctor walked in.

Dr: Shane! You're awake! That's great.

The doctor walks over to me and checks my vitals.

Dr: Could you three step out? I need to speak to Shane privately.

I gulp when Lisa throws a glare at me. They all walk out.

Dr: Shane I need to speak to you about your injuries. How did this happen?

I stayed silent and stared at my lap.

Dr: I'm assuming that your girlfriend did this.

I nod my head. I'm so scared that she'll hurt me if I say something.

Dr: Well Shane I think it would be best for you to break up with her and find someone else. This is not safe.

I know it isn't but the last time I tried to end it with I ended up engaged. And almost killed by her.

I nod my head and he leaves. Lisa walks in alone.

You can do it Shane. You can do it.

Shane: I'm breaking up with you Lisa.

Lisa: No you're not!

Shane: But-

Lisa: I said no!

Joey: Lisa! He broke up with you. Get the hell out.

We both turn towards the door. Lisa balls her hands into fists.

Lisa: He is my boyfriend! If you get in my way Joey, I'll kill you!

Joey didn't even look fazed by that. He just stood closer and lean into Lisa face.

Joey: Get the f*ck away from him or I will hurt you. Shane isn't with you anymore. Leave.

Lisa: You know what? F*ck both of you f*ggots! I will get you both back one day!

Then she ran out. I finally relaxed. Joey sat down on the edge of my bed. He smiles and strokes my hair.

Joey: I won't let anyone hurt you ever again.

Shane: You shouldn't have done that.

Joey: I had to. I need to protect you. You didn't deserve anything Lisa did to you. You're amazing, sweet, and kind.

I blush. His hand runs down the side of my face and cups my cheek. He slowly leans down and softly pressed his lips to mine.

I kiss back. This feels amazing. A million times better than when I first started dating Lisa. And any fake kiss for cameras.

Joey: I love you Shane. And I promise to show you what love actually is.

He kisses me again and again. We can't seem to have enough of each other's lips.

Shane: I love you too Joey.

He smiles and continues to kiss me. But we hear a knock at the door. He quickly pulls away. Sawyer walks in.

Sawyer: I saw you two kissing. Are you a couple?

Joey: Yes.

He leans down and gives me another kiss. Then he grabs my hand and holds it.

Joey: I love him more than anything.

Shane: Same here.

I'm already starting to feel better. I know Joey isn't magic or medicine but just being with him makes me feel so much better.
