Chapter 15- Save Me

Shane's POV

In the middle of the night I woke up. I thought I heard footsteps.

Shane: Mom?

I didn't get a response. It probably was just one of the dogs. I lay back down in Joey's arms.

I close my eyes and I feel a hand clamp over my mouth. My eyes fly open.

X: Don't move.

That voice sounds familiar. I feel the blade of a knife pressed against my neck. I stare at Joey. I'm praying he wakes up and punches whoever is behind in the face.

I feel another person grab me and drag me away from the bed. I started squirming and kicking.

XX: Stop moving or else we'll hurt Joey!

I stopped struggling immediately. I couldn't let Joey get hurt. I began to silently cry. I just want to be wrapped in Joey's arms.

XX: Don't cry baby. We're saving you from Joey. He doesn't love you. We do.

They blindfolded me. I couldn't see where they were dragging me. Eventually they set me down in a car and started driving off.

I just cried for Joey. I need him right now. He said he would protect me.

Joey's POV

I opened my eyes expecting to see Shane peacefully sleeping beside me. But he wasn't there.

I quickly got up and checked the bathroom. He wasn't in there. My heart started beating faster. I checked the rest of the room on this floor. I ran downstairs and looked in every room for him. He was no where.

I ran back to the bedroom. His phone was still here. I couldn't call him.

Everything seemed untouched. Like he just got up and left. Maybe he did.

I sat down on the bed and buried my head into my hands and cried. Where is he?

Shane's POV

I woke up still blindfolded. I was tied up in a chair. I could whispering.

Shane: Hello?

XX: Oh! He's awake!

Shane: Who are you? Take this blindfold off me!

I heard footsteps walking towards me. They took off the blindfold. I saw Lisa and Sawyer standing in front of me.

Shane: You two! Let me go! When Joey comes he'll-

Sawyer: He'll do what? He doesn't know who took you. He won't be coming for you.

Shane: Liar! He's going to save me! I know he will!

Lisa: By the time he figures out where you are, you won't want him anymore.

Shane: I love him. I always will.

Lisa: And we're going to change that.

Shane: You can't make me love you.

Sawyer: We have our ways.

They looked at each other evilly. I don't want to find out what they plan to do with me. I just want Joey to save me.

And I know he will. I won't give up on him. Joey promised to protect me. I know he will save me.
