Shane's POV

We had all of our things packed and in Joey's car. I don't know how we fit everything in there but we did.

Suddenly Joey came running down the stairs.

Joey: Sawyer's awake.

I hid behind Joey. I'm terrified of Sawyer now.

Joey: Don't worry. He's probably sober by now which means he won't do anything.

Sawyer: Guys?

Joey: Hello Sawyer...

Sawyer: What happened last night?

Joey: Well...

Sawyer: Well what? Did I do something bad?

Joey: Yeah.

Sawyer: Oh my god. What happened?

Joey: You beat me up and knocked me out... Then you...

Sawyer: Then I did what?

Joey: Raped Shane.

Sawyer: Oh my god. Please tell me that this is a joke.

Joey: It's not.

Sawyer: Guys I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do any of that! Shane I-

Joey: No. Sawyer we already decided it would be best if we moved out.

Sawyer: Guys I swear I didn't-

Joey: It doesn't matter. We're leaving Sawyer. So goodbye.

Sawyer: Guys you seriously don't have to-

Joey: Sawyer we know you like Shane. And now were too uncomfortable to live here. We're leaving ok?

And with that he grabbed my wrist and lead me out. We got in his car where he sat still for a second.

Shane: Are you ok?

Joey: Yeah.

He started to drive to my mom's house. When we got there I knocked on the door. My mom answered.

Mom: Shane! And Joey! Come in!

I grabbed Joey's hand and lead him to the couch. My mom sat down with us.

Mom: So Shoey is real!

Joey: You ship us?

Mom: Of course! But why did you break up with Lisa?

Shane: Uh... She was... abusive. And I liked Joey so I broke up with her to be with Joey.

Mom: Oh... Well why did you two move out?

Joey: We were having problems with Sawyer. But we're going to find our own place soon.

Mom: Don't worry. You two can stay here for a while if you need to.

Joey: Thank you.

Mom: It's not a problem.

We go upstairs to my old bedroom. Joey pulls me onto the bed with him. He wraps his arms around my waist and holds me close to him.

Joey: Babe, are you ok?

Shane: Yeah why?

Joey: You're not shaken up about the whole Sawyer thing?

Shane: No I'm fine because I'm with you. I know you'll protect me.

Joey: I will. I promise you.

Shane: I love you.

Joey: I love you too.

He kisses the top of my head and pulls me closer. I rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes. Joey always makes me feel safe.
