Chapter 8: Divided

The screen came on to show the jack, Merida and Rapunzel, trying to calm toothless down." Hiccup's gone" whispered Rapunzel, her voice unsure of what to do. "So what the plan Frosty" hissed Merida. "Um...I...usually let Hiccup come up with the plan..." Jack said scratching the back of his neck.

"YOU DO!" asked Merida. Jack shrugged "Usually yes" he replied. Hiccup laughed as all the Vikings (but the gang) looked at him surprised.

Jack set off down the hallway, "We find pitch we find Hic" he said trying to sound confident. The other two start to follow.

"Where's Toothless" asked Rapunzel

"Where's Toothless?" asked Rapunzel. The three looked around to see no night fury in sight. Jack frowned the two girls were a few feet behind him and glancing around. The screen changed to Rapunzel and Merida's faces, when Jack cried out. The two looked around to see no winter spirt.

"Uh oh" whispered Merida. "One by one" agreed North, while Sandy made a number one appear above him.

Merida drew her bow and Rapunzel raised her frying pan. The shadows seemed to get closer and closer. Suddenly something grabbed Rapunzel's hair pulling her into the shadows with a scream. Merida was now spinning on the spot when something hit her on the head and the camera followed her to the floor and slowly fades as Merida falls unconscious.

Complete silence fills the room no one even dares move or breath,

The screen fades in to an image of bright green eyes. As it zooms out it shows Hiccup hung against the wall bruised and battered as if beaten, but no blood just black and blue.

Most all the girls burst into tears apart from Merida and Astrid who just looked shocked. Everyone else gasps and Toothless nudges Tess looking at her scared. "he will be fine for a while" she whispers to the dragon.

Pitch walks to the boy and lifts up his chin. "Your friend are in their own cells" he laughed. "Don't hurt them please" Hiccup whispered. "oh I won't only you have to be hurt. Why you ask? Because I can't have you running around and doing something I don't want you to do" Pitch said darkly. Sweeping out of the cell he didn't look back as Hiccup yelled out in pain as the nightmares surrounded him.

Astrid was desperately trying to get out of her seat to get to the screen. It was taking Fishlegs, the twins and Gobber to hold her down.

As the screen came back on it showed Hiccup hanging there even more bruised there were multiple bleeding cuts on him as well now. "Come on Hiccup just join me" Pitch said from the shadows. " I can make you a true hero" Hiccup looked around" I don't need to be a hero I just want to protect my friends" he muttered. An idea came to Hiccup as he looked at Pitch.
