Dear Violet,
Oh man, do I have so much to tell you! So, the only reason I even made it to bootcamp was because of a good man, and a brilliant scientist named Dr. Abram Erskine. Unfortunately, he was shot today, right in front of me by a Nazi assassin, who poisoned himself before I could bring him back to the lab. Which reminds me, I look a lot different now, because of Dr. Erskine, and an engineer/inventor named Howard Stark. Sound familiar? I got to meet him! I'm about six feet tall now, maybe taller, and boy, did they give me some muscles! I bet I could lift you and Bucky on my shoulders right now without even trying. Oh, Violet, if you could see me now. I'll send a photograph if I can in my next letter.
All of my asthma and other health problems are gone, I finally know what it's like to breathe fully. Because of this new super-soldier project, I'm flying to France first thing tomorrow, which kind of hurts because I'll be farther away from you. I promise that I will write to you as much as I can, because I don't think I could stand not hearing from you for more than a week. Oh, and I guess I better say it in this letter as well. Write soon. Here goes.
I love you,
Steve
