The next day I walk in that school with my hoodie held low. I wear baggy jeans and basketball shoes that are falling apart. Instead of contacts, I wear my beat up pink glasses that are a little to small. People shove and push me down the hallway, making my history book come out of it's seam, causing papers to shoot everywhere.
I catch all the papers in midair, and pick up most of them off of the ground. Just when I'm about to pick up my final paper, something holds me by the wrist and scratches me down my arm. Then lets go. I look up to see white hair, and a smile.
The day continues on and I don't see Natsu anywhere. Levy and her friends ignore me. So the whole day all I say is "The answer is 7.982." in math. That is until the end of the day rolls around.
I put my books inside my locker, my history book still drying because I glued the pages in it. I take my backpack out and I don't bother to put pads underneath my jacket because Natsu wasn't here today. I walk down the hall, dodging flying papers and people, then push through the doors to get outside.
I take one breath of fresh air. I don't mind the cold air filling up my body and making my throat hurt or my nose become more runny. I focus on the feeling of freedom. I know how the day will go from now on. I'll walk home, get beat by my father, yelled at for buying medicine, thrown out for even living, and suffering the pain and hurt of knowing that Natsu hates me more than anyone he's ever loved.
Why did I have to have this life? I ask myself. Did I deserve it? I never did anything terrible did I? Then I think back over my life. I did. I did everything.
FLASHBACK
"Natsu! C'mon! Lets have a race!" I yell.
We line up at the starting line and then mom says "Go!" We run down the pavement. My princess wand that I had set on the ground lays in-front of Natsu. I get to the tree first, out of breath, then I hear a shriek. I turn around and in my horror see Natsu on the ground, face-first. And he tripped over my wand.

"Moooooooommmmm! Come play with me outside!" I shout to my mother. "Darling, you know you'll get a cold." She replies, but I tug her outside anyway. I'm under dressed, just wearing a shirt in the middle of winter. So my mom puts her warm coat over me. "There. I don't want you to get sick."
A week later I am sitting at the end of her bed. She's really sick. People say she got it from being outside too long during winter.

"Dad, if your too stressed out just go play a game or something." I say.
"You're right! I'll be back in about 2 hours." I watch him take several handfuls of cash out of a drawer.

"Can I please have some of your lunch money?" Asks a little white-haired girl who's dressed in rags. "I'm sorry! I have to keep this money to go somewhere!" I say, thinking about how I have to go to my Mom's fancy graveyard that you have to pay to get into.

Natsu tosses me to the ground. "You wanna know why I bully you? Because your kindness is fake."
END OF FLASHBACKS
I am no help to anyone! I run home, tripping and falling, but getting back up again.
As I pass an alleyway, I get pulled into it by a familiar set of hands. "You think you're going home huh?" Says a voice that makes a shiver go down my spine. Lisanna comes out of the shadows and looks me straight in the eye. "Cause you're not." She slaps me across the face and it stung and burned my skin.
I lifted myself up, but she just kicked me back down. "Guess what I'm going to do to you missy?" She spat. I look up at her. "I'm going to kill you." She takes out a knife and I can't do anything. "A long time ago I remember telling Natsu that you looked like an ugly hag and he agreed with me. I remember that was in the seventh grade. The next day he started bullying you because I told him that you made him lose his memory and before that, you did awful things to him. Well now I guess he'll never know." There is a feeling coming to me that I've never felt before. Adrenaline rushing through my veins wanting to explode out of me.
Just as she's about to stick the knife into my heart, I hold it. About a centimeter away. "All of these years. It was you." I say. "Yep. Have a problem with that?" She says, shocked but doing a perfect job of hiding it. "Yes." My eyebrows stiffen up, my mouth becomes a straight line, and then I release it.
I don't know what has been building up inside of me this whole time, but right now I let it out. I kick Lisanna in the face, sending her backward, I punch her in the windpipe, causing her to gasp for breath, then send her to the ground. I repeatedly punch her in the face over and over again. "STOP!!" She keeps yelling as I do so, but I don't stop. She was responsible for everything, and I'm not about to let that go.
"I HATE YOU!! YOU MADE HIM THINK THAT I ACTUALLY WOULD DO THAT TO HIM WHEN WE WERE BEST FRIENDS FOR 6 YEARS?!!!" I scream in her face. She starts to cry. "Please just let me go, please! Just please! Don't hurt me!" She begs.
And then I see a pink-haired teen, about 6 ft standing at the door of the alleyway. He's shocked. He's paralyzed. And he falls to his feet. "Natsu..." I say gently. "Let me have Lisanna." He says to me. I hand him his broken girlfriend. "Was all of that stuff true?" He asks. I hesitate. "WAS ALL OF IT TRUE?!!!" He yells. "Yes." I say.
Instead of walking off like I thought he would do, he takes my hand and says "I'm sorry."
