My body is cramping. Just like it does everyday when I get out of the closet. I get up, take a pair of clothing off of the top shelf of the closet and head to the bathroom. I take a shower in cold water (The heater is broken), and then dry off. I blow-dry my hair and put it into pigtails, then put my clothing on. I put a new hoodie over my face and walk out the door.

I walk down the path, wondering what new things I'm going to learn today. I love school. It's the only place where I don't get treated like a maid and I can be a teenager. I always learn something new. Equations, experiments, reading, I love them all. That's why I get great grades, but people always make fun of me because of it. But I always ignore them.

"Hey loser." Lisanna pushes me along with her friends. "Morning Lisanna." I say nicely. One of her friends, Minerva, pushes me to the ground. My ripped jeans reveal my knees, so they scrape them. That hurt. But not as much as the things Natsu has done to me. I get up and pick up my books. Hmm. What's the worst thing that could happen to me today?

I think of Natsu breaking my ankle. Yeah, I'll go with that. I walk in the school and go to my locker. I take the books off the top shelf. "Go to class ugly nerd." Says Natsu, who pushes past me. I ignore him like usual. I put my backpack inside, then shut it. Math. That's the first class of today taught by Ms. Erza.

So I walk down the hall and make a left. I walk into Ms. Erza's classroom which is lined with all sorts of math rules and equations. "Good morning Ms. Erza." I say quietly. She nods with a smile in return. I make my way to the middle of the 2nd row of desks, where I usually sit. I take out my math book and start looking in it. Today is the test.

The bells rings, then the other kids hurry in along with the bullies. Natsu plops down right next to me. It's a test today. He's going to steal my test, or copy it. So I move, and sit down next to a petite blunette. Natsu glares at me, so I pretend he's not there. I can't help but wonder why he hates me so much.

"Hey, you're Lucy right?" Asks the girl that sits next to me. "Yep." I reply, and give her a warm smile. "I'm Levy. We were ELA partners in 7th grade." She says, and we begin to talk until Ms. Erza starts speaking. I guess I might've made a new friend. It's a weird feeling because the only other real friend I've had was.....Natsu. I guess.

"As you know class, today will be our pop quiz. I expect you all not to cheat and try your very best." Ms. Erza says as almost half of the boys in our class try hard to flirt with her. She's one of the prettiest teachers in Fairytail high, besides the vice principle Ms. Mirajane. She passes out the white sheets of paper with all sorts of black letters on them.

I take out my chewed up pencil that I found on the floor. Hey, it's better than nothing. Then I start. Multiple choice answers. Easy. Approximately 45 minutes go by, and I fill in the last circle. I get up and walk down the isle to Ms. Erza's desk. Natsu's leg jolts out right before I step to that space, then I trip. Ms. Erza glares at him. I'm sure if this wasn't school that she would beat the living daylights out of him. I hear the occasional chuckles and whispers, but I just get back up again.

I place the test on her desk, and she gives me a thumbs up. I walk back to my desk now avoiding Natsu's. The bell rings to leave, and everyone rushes up to Ms. Erza's desk, then walks out the door in a hurry. I pick up my binder and books then walk to my next class. I'm actually surprised that Natsu or anyone didn't do anything worse.

By the time lunch rolls around, my arms are sore just like everyone else's. I carry my tray to a small table, but then am stopped my a hand grabbing my arm. I spin around expecting to see my hot-headed bully, but instead see the girl from math this morning. I have a mental sigh of relief. "Hey Lu, we were wondering if you wanted to sit with us." Levy points to a table full of what I'm expecting are her friends. I hesitate for a moment, then agree. I didn't want to hurt her feelings.

I arrive at the table and sit next to Levy. She introduces me to her friends. Gray, Jet, Droy, Wendy, and Juvia. They give me a warm welcome. I smile, and give them a little wave. I've never eaten my lunch this happy in a while.
