Chapter 18.2: Dinner with my oh-so-sweet family Part 2

Cassandra’s POV

What the hell? Kasama pa talaga ang annoying b*tch sa family dinner namin at tumabi pa siya saakin. Crap! Pero okay lang di ako magpapatalo sa kanya like DUH!

They served the food, first the appetizer pagkatapos ay ang main course. Kumain muna kami kasi mamaya daw may sasabihin si Grandpa.

“I hope you will get choked.” She whispered. I gave her a disgusted look. She’s starting at me with as-if-i-care look. duh.

“You too! Enjoy your dinner sis.” I whispered back then flashed my sweetest fake smile at her. She rolled her eyes and started eating.

“Don’t mind her.” Ate said.

I started eating, bahala ka diyan Maddy, I don’t give a sh*t on you. Tahimik lang kaming kumakain lahat sila parang may iniisip na malamin. I can feel the tension lalo na katabi ko ang annoying b*tch na to.

“Dad, why did you call us for a dinner?” Dad said breaking the silence that’s starting to make me feel uneasy.

Grandpa looked at Dad and said. “It’s not me, it’s Austin, and he has an announcement.” Tipid na sagot ni grandpa pagkatapos kumain ulit siya.

What announcement?? I did not know about this. Hmmm… Ano nanaman kaya ang kasalanan ni Kuya. Hay nako.

“Ahh. Well, I guess it’s very important kasi pinapunta din niya ako.” Dad said looking at Kuya.

“I think so.” Yun lang ang nasabi ni Grandpa tapos tumahimik na ulit. Gosh! I hate this, silence all over the place and no one’s speaking it makes me feel uneasy. Parang kinakabahan ako.

We’re done eating our dinner.

“Okay everyone, I know you are all thinking kung ano ang iaanounce ni Austin sa inyo but before siya magsasalita may sasabihin muna ako. I’ll be heading back to LA tomorrow and gusto ko na huwag kayong gagawa ng mga bagay na di ko magugustuhan, especially you Cassy and Zac kasi malalagot kayo saakin. Lastly, sa iaanounce ni Austin I hope you guys will be happy for him and please do support him.” –Grandpa said while looking at us.

“yes grandpa. We won’t do anything that will give you a headache.” I smiled at him.

“I have my eyes on you two.”

“Yes grandpa.” Sabay naming sagot ni Zac.

Kuya stood up then he look at us.

“Guys, I hope that this time you will support me with my decision, I know whenever I said that I will have an announcement  you will always expect that it’s something bad but this time, it’s something good.” He looked at me then he looked at Kristen.

“My dearest siblings, I hope you girls would be happy with this and support me, I know you have questions in your minds right now but I will answer it later.”

“And to my parents.” He looked at mom and dad.

“Mom thanks for the support when I told you about this and Dad please be happy for me this time.”

“And to all of you I know you’ve been wondering what my announcement is. So, here it goes, Corrine and I are getting married next month.” He said cheerfully then smiled widely at us.

Dad stood up immediately and hugged Kuya.

“Congrats son.” Dad said then he hugged Ate Corrine.

“Corrine finally! I’ve been waiting for this to happen.” Dad said. It’s so obvious that he’s so happy for my brother. Then mom hugged both of them and said. “I know they will be happy for the both of you.”
