Chapter 20: Reunion? ?? O_o

Cassandra’s POV

*bzzzzt bzzzt*

I looked at the caller ID.

Chuckiee ^_^ calling…

Bakit siya napatawag? tanong ko sa sarili ko habang nakatingin sa phone ni Ate Kristen, phone niya ang gamit ko remember nagswap kami.

“If you’ll excuse me, I need to answer this call it’s so freaking important.” I looked at Maddy and Mitchell, they glared at me. Di ko na lang sila pinansin and I went out.

“Now what?” Iritado kong sabi, I heard him let out a sigh.

(“You’re still mad at me?”)He asked in a low voice. I can imagine him frowning right now.

I let out a sigh and said:  “Isn’t it obvious?? “ hindi naman talaga ako galit sa kanya naiinis lang, alam ko napaka irrational ko pero lately madali lang akong mainis epekto siguro ito ng sobrang stress at presence ni  Alex at sa presence ng magaling kong kapatid na si Maddy sa mga family events.

(“Gomenasai”) Sabi niya and for sure naka simangot na siya.

 Before I could utter a word nagsalita ulit siya.

(“I do understand Cas if ganyan ka.”) Hindi muna ako nagsalita naghihintay ako sa mga sasabihin niya.

(“Alam ko lately masyado ka nang stress dahil kay Alex at kay Maddy plus dinagdagan ko pa, sana pala pinalipas ko muna bago kita kausapin ngayon.”) malungkot niyang sabi. Sasagot na sana ako pero may tumawag saakin mula sa likuran.

“Cassy.” I turned around and there I saw Dwayne smiling widely at me, I glared at him in return.

“Well, I guess it’s a bad timing.” He smiled shyly.I just glared at him.

 “What are you doing here?”  Cold kong tanong sa kanya. Tiningnan niya ako sa mata at sinabing.

“I’m here because my girlfriend wants me to come and meet her friends.”  Nakangiti niyang sabi, mukhang masaya na siya sa buhay niya ha para lang wala siyang kasalanan nagawa saamin.

“Oh! I see.” Yan lang ang nasabi ko.

“How about you, why are you here?” He asked.

“Just hanging out with some friends.”

“Ahhh! Sige enjoy Cassy and I think ang kausap mo sa phone ay nag-aalala na.” sabi niya at nagsimulang maglakad palayo saakin.

(“Cassy? Still there?Cassy?”) nakalimutan ko nag-uusap pala kami ni Clark.

(“Cassy?? What’s happening?? Cassy?? Where the hell are you??Sino yang kausap mo?”) narinig kong sabi ni Clark sa kabilang linya.

Before I could utter a word, Dwayne said something that made my blood boil.

“I almost forgot, I’m here to meet you guys, this night is going to be fun and for sure you will not forget this night especially your cousin Hayden.” He left me dumbfounded.

 Dwayne you are so not going to ruin this night,I said to myself.

(“Cassy???Cassy??Where the hell are you??”) muntik ko nang makalimutan si Clark.

“I’m sorry Clark! Dwayne is here and he’s planning to do something tonight. Come here, I’m at Apollo bar.” I said then I ended the call. I need to go back before he could do something bad.

Why is this happening?? Why are they coming back?? To ruin our lives over and over again, to hurt us,to make us feel empty for the nth time?? How can they stand doing those things every now and then??
