layla's POV

one day around Christmas in 2008, alison had sent me downstairs to get some drinks for them. when i got down the stairs, i saw a tired, shirtless 21 year old jason with his head on the counter as if he was drunk which i was pretty sure he was. so i took advantage of him being alone since he's always with his friends. i went over to him and whispered into his ear,"hi jason." he woke up startled but looked glad that I was there.

"hi layla." he started to the couch gesturing me to go over with him. after him, i slowly walked over to him just as alison came down the stairs.

"are you done yet?" alison said with a smirk on her face.

"yeah i was just-" before i could say something she interrupted and said.

"flirting with my brother?" she said angrily,"i specifically told you not to mess with him!"

"i wasn't i swear," i nervously said,"i just came down and saw him sleeping so i-"

"so you what, wanted to make a move?" she said loud enough that the girls came down.

"what is going on down here?" asked spencer.

"i don't know. WHAT is going on. care to answer alison?" i said sarcastically, but with a hint of anger.

"it's nothing spencer. they're just in an argument about me," said jason with a smirk.

"OK well then in that case, do you girls wanna come upstairs with me?" asked emily who certainly didn't want to be involved in this. all but aria, my sister, went upstairs as soon as they got the chance to.

"as i said before what were you going to do with Jason?" said alison furiously.

"nothing, i swear!"

"trust me, you were going to do something."

"ali, enough of this just let them work it out," my twin aria said and then winked at me.

"no! i don't need anyone's help!" i said right before i stormed out. i wanted to go home but i promised my parents that we'd be there the whole night since we've snuck out sometimes. I heard the door open but didn't care to look back. All of a sudden there were hands on my waist. Then a sweet but tired voice in my ear said,"Baby, come with me." I turned to find that it was Jason. He had never sounded like that.

"Where to Jase?" I said with a smile.

He picked me up and mischievously said,"You'll see."

"Okay," I said knowing where we were going.

He then set me down, quickly moved, and then told me,"Turn around."

As soon as I did, I saw a shirtless Jason on his bed just waiting for me to sit on his lap. He patted his legs and said,"Come here babe," in his soft voice. I happily went over there. Then let's just say that's when the real fun began. He started kissing my neck and then made his way up to my mouth. It was very passionate. His lips were so soft and his muscles were so big.

We ended up cuddling in his bed while watching a movie. I fell asleep halfway through the movie. Jason let me sleep in his bed instead of waking me up. In the morning, we just cuddled a lot and kissed a couple more times before I finally had the chance to get up and go to the bathroom. When I got to the one close to Ali's room, Aria scared me and asked what happened last night. I told her the whole thing and to not tell anyone. "Your secret's safe with me," she said and pretended to zip her mouth shut.

Jason's POV

When layla woke me up and I saw her beautiful face, I dreamt that one day we could actually be together without my bitch of sister ruining our relationship. She kept all of her best friends away from me. But I could tell layla was the rebellious one. Once we said our "Hi's", I gestured layla to come with me on the couch. But as soon as she started walking over, the one and only Alison DiLaurentis came down the stairs. She started getting mad because she thought layla and I were doing stuff. She yelled loud enough that the girls came down. Then one thing lead to another and layla went storming out the door. I waited a few minutes to see if she'd come back but then I went out to see if she was still there. Well maybe not to see if she was there. But to do something fun. I carried her to my room and well let's just say I left her in a way better mood. After all the fun, I decided to put on a movie and eventually she fell asleep. I tried to get her out of bed and in Ali's room but they were still awake doing I don't want to know what. But also like she was sleeping like an angel so I didn't want to wake her up. I then heard someone open the door. It was just Aria who came to check on her.

"She's fine. I definitely cheered her up," I said with a small smirk thinking about last night,"But you can't tell Ali,"

"Okay," she said then nodded.

We still had to keep "us" a secret. Every time layla and Ali were in the same room, layla had to pretend she was on the same level with Ali about me. It hurt but I know she didn't mean it.

Although Ali definitely did.

Every so often layla and I went an a date. It was usually when Ali was away or when my parents were away and took her. I usually took her to the movies or on a picnic outside. But there were rare occasions that I took her out for dinner.

One day I got a text from her that said 'We need to talk', the four words that could only mean one thing. She was going to breakup with me. I had to mentally prepare myself from what was about to happen. But to be honest, no one could prepare themselves for a breakup. We talked for a while at the Brew, but I really just wanted her to get to the point. She finally said while holding my hands and tears were streaming down he face,"It's not you, it's me. I'm sorry it had to end this way." Then she walked away bawling. I went after her to ask her what the reason for her breaking up with me. She didn't answer. So I just sat there. Wondering about if we would get back together. I knew we would.

Well hopefully.

Eventually.
