Chapter 1: Pure Love

layla's POV

A couple of days after the 1st, I got a text from Jason while I was with the girls that said 'Can you come over tonight?'. "Who was that?" asked Emily. "Oh just my mom wondering where Aria and I were." I was obviously lying. But I needed something to cover us being together again. Well us being together in the first place. We were talking about Ali. Even though she was gone, it was as if she never left. That's Ali for you. After that I had to pickup something for my mom. While I was walking to the flower shop, someone came up behind me and put their hands around my waist. My first instinct was to run. But then I turned around to find Jason smiling at me.

I hit him and said,"You scared me!"

"Oh, I'm sorry", he said sarcastically and then grinned,"What do you say to dinner at my house?"

"Well are you parents going to be there?" I said while holding his hands and then winked.

"No, they're out of town. I have the whole house to myself until Tuesday."

"Well then sure. What time? Because I have a curfew," I said sarcastically.

"How's seven?"

"I don't know, how is seven? I heard it got plastic surgery," I smiled afterwards,"Seven is fine."

"See you then," he said happily then kissed me. It was the only kiss I had in the last five months. After Jason and I broke up, I got in a small relationship with Noel Kahn but it wasn't anything serious. In fact we only dated for two months. That's a stupid summer relationship for you. They're short and meaningless. But we were only freshman. Later in high school and then college is where the fun is at if you know what I mean.

Jason's POV

I've always hated sneaking around with layla to go places, but if we show us to her parents they'll force us to break up. Or I could get arrested because I'm dating a minor. A beautiful one. The reason I wanted her over was because I had a special surprise planned because I missed her birthday. I had to stop by the flower shop, bakery, and Swarovskis (a jewelry shop outside of Rosewood). I was getting her a necklace with a 14 carat gold chain, a little Eiffel Tower on it because she really wants to go to Paris, and an 'L' attached to it. Then a pink and small two-teared cake that says 'I love you layla' in gold on the top. The day before I bought her a small pink dress and also gold pumps. I had to ask Aria to come help me pick one out and also for layla's size. After I finished at Swarovskis and the bakery, I came back for the flowers since they had to be fresh. I got pink carnations and roses. I finally got home, it was 6:15. I had to take a shower, get ready, set up the table, and hide the gifts. It was around 6:55 when layla texted me that she was here. Luckily I finished everything at 6:50.

So I let her in and she immediately asked,"Why are you wearing a tuxedo?"

"Because I have a special surprise for you," I said grinning handing her the box,"Go and put this on."

"OK, I'll be back in five minutes."

Five minutes later, a beautiful layla came down wearing the dress that Aria picked out.

"You didn't have to buy me this," she said smiling.

"Well I'm glad I did. Come here princess!"

"Thanks baby," layla whispered in my ear after giggling and then before kissing me. I stopped to give her the necklace.

"Close your eyes," I said before putting on her necklace.

"It's beautiful," layla said before I kissed her once more.

"Just like you!" she blushed a little.

"Come on let's go eat. I made your favorite, steamed crab," I said gesturing towards the table.
