layla's POV
As Jason was driving back to my house, I heard the way too familiar sound of sirens blasting down the streets.
"Pull over!" Then my realization kicked in. The sirens were in front of the old DiLaurentis' house. I quickly spotted the girls huddled together apart from Emily, who was talking with somebody unfamiliar to me, and of course me. The girls glanced in my direction before ran towards me. Jason stood behind as he closely watched me and the girls.
"What happened?" I questioned with a puzzled look on my face.
Suddenly the unfamiliar girl came up to me and said,"They found your friend, Alison." I looked past her just before going back to Jason and the girls had grim looks on their faces. He opened his arms for him to embrace me and asked,"What's wrong?" I just bawled into his shoulder before getting myself together and said,"They found her."
"Who?" He looked at me slightly lifting up my chin.
"Alison," I looked up and saw Jason stare off behind me. I turned, only to find a body bag being carried into the back of a van. I just held in my tears and walked over to the girls, with Jason's hand in mine. They all looked at me, then Jason, and down to our intertwined hands. He just pulled me close, allowing all my tears fall onto the crook of his neck.

*Beep*
"Ugh!"
*Beep*
I took my eyeshade off and literally rolled off the bed.
"Ow!" I landed on the floor with a loud thump. I went into my closet and picked out a pink, flowy crop top with flowers all over it. Then I walked over to my drawer and picked up some gold, high-waisted shorts.
I did my normal makeup, which was a cat-eye wing, light brown eyeshadow, my eyebrows filled in a little, and to top it all off, some bright red lipstick. Before walking out the door, I grabbed my dark brown, wedged boots and slipped them on.
The walk to school was very nerve-racking. I was too busy worrying about what school was going to be like. Even though I technically wasn't a new student there, it still felt like it. And to top it all off, I don't have Ali with me to survive. I really should be going into my sophomore year since I was in rehab last year but the school made an exception because of my 'stupendous' grades.
Wow, I never thought that going back to school would be so hard.

I had to briskly walk through the hallway, after getting my schedule, past all of the staring and whispering people. Since I was annoyed, I decided to yell,"Take a picture. It'll last longer." Which shut them up well. I met up with Aria at her locker and went to our homeroom.
I saw a few familiar faces. But I didn't really care about them. All I cared about was going unnoticed for the whole day.
"Hey girls!" Emily whisper yelled.
"Hey Em," Aria and I said at the same time.
"Talk about having twin powers," Aria and I both giggled at the mention of such impossible things. Just then Spencer came through the door, waved at us, and sat in the front row. A blonde soon came through the door who looked a lot like Alison.
"Who's that?" I looked curiously at the girl.
"That's Hanna."
"So who's that?" I asked referring to the dark-haired girl next to her.
"Well where there's a Hanna, there's a Mona," she stated as if she wasn't bothered by the sudden change in appearance for those two girls.
"Mona Vanderwaal. As in Loser Mona?" Aria questioned.
"Yep," Emily answered, popping the p. Hanna gave a little 'I'm better than you' wave, which I just smiled at her, then rolled my eyes.
The rest of my day until lunch was really boring. Although I did see some people who definitely changed over a year and a half. Such as the school's new player, Noel Kahn. In reality he's just filling in for Jason, Eric, and, Ian. He'd pour his heart out to you if he really liked you. I see right through them. Tough on the outside fragile on the inside. It's what every boy turns out to be at Rosewood High. Aria and I were walking to lunch, since we have the same schedule. It's kind of nerve-racking but then you get over it and your fine. We got our lunch and sat down where Spencer was. She looked up from her book after about five minutes.
"Hey Montgomerys!" There she goes again with that horrible nickname. When we all met Spencer couldn't remember our names, so she used to call us Montgomerys because we thought it sounded cool. And now the only person allowed to call us that is Spencer. Soon enough Emily came with a very pretty scarf. Finally Hanna walked over to us and said,"Hello peeps," before sitting down and setting her stuff next to her. Mona came over, obviously annoyed at Hanna for sitting with us.
"Hey HannaBanana!" I stated and she giggled a little bit.
"So what's new?" Emily asked generally, but it seemed like it was for Hanna since Emily was obviously glaring at her.
"Nothing much. How about you Em?" Spencer looked up to the girl who was still standing.
"Swimming stuff. Have you guys gotten homework yet?" We all shook our heads.
"That's so unfair. I have an essay on Shakespeare due next Wednesday," I laughed when she groaned, along with the others.

We only have five more minutes in school left and my History class is going crazy. Something happened between my English teacher and Aria that she won't talk about. But I think I know what's going on. Everybody was already like up at the door waiting for school to be out. When I got out of the car, I immediately ran upstairs, into my room and plopped down on my comfy bed.
