You would think Riley would want to sit next to me on the forever long bus ride, but no! She wanted to sit next to Farkle. FARKLE! My next choice was Zay, but he wanted to sit with Yogi. So my only other option was Cowboy.
I must have missed something because Farkle and Riley were... flirting with each other? What is going on?
"Hey Ranger Rick, you're girlfriend is flirting with Farkle?"
"Maya, for the last time Riley and I aren't a couple, I don't like Riley!" He whisper yelled.
That was the last we thing we said on the bus ride to each other. If I said anything else, my thoughts could have triggered. I had to take my pills, but I didn't want anyone to see me.
Lucas turned to start talking to Farkle who was directly across from us. Perfect timing. I pretended to yawn and popped the pills in my mouth. I quickly grabbed my water too, so I could help flush them down my throat.
Nobody saw a thing. I'm so slick, I thought to myself. I turned back to the conversation and Farkle had his arm around Riley. I was hella confused. Riley noticed my face because she took out her phone and started texting me:
Honey 🍯❤️ : Farkle and I are bf/gf now, plz don't freak 😏
Me: OMG! I am gonna freak, Farkle's loved you 4ever it's so cute 😉 I ship it so hard 😘😍
Honey 🍯❤️ : thnx ILYSM!!!
Me: For how long?
Honey 🍯❤️ : since Monday after u stormed off, he confessed his feelings for me after school ☺️ I realized how much we liked each other and that I don't like Lucas! Now u can finally date him 😉
I had to stop and look up at her. I shot her a look. I can't spend so much time with him because of my health and safety, how on earth am I supposed to date him?
Me: Lucas and I are just friends, that's all
Honey 🍯❤️ : But you admit it!? You like him
Me: so what if I like him 😏 Riles... I srsly can't
Honey 🍯❤️ : y? At least think ab it k?
I didn't respond after that. I really liked Lucas, but we're in a good place. I don't want to go out for a while, then break up and hate each other. That was my biggest fear.
I started to breathe a little harder because of all these thoughts, so clearly my pills haven't kicked in yet.
Lucas must have noticed because he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. My heart was racing and we stared deep into each other's eyes. A smile appeared on his lips as his eyes wondered to look at my lips.
"Cough, cough you two," Farkle said trying to interrupt us.
"Right, uh sorry..." Lucas replied, snapping out of the moment.
I turned to look out the window, and our hands stayed interlocked the rest of the bus ride.

Ughhh! The Lucaya feels are killing me, haha! And there is riarkle! Don't worry I will flash back to that moment ;)
