MAYA
Riley and Sarah were talking about some sort of girl code for whenever there's drama during the trip. I was just pretending to listen, but I was just writing another song in my sketch book. Sometimes I'll draw, other times I'll song write. I never sing them though, I wouldn't dare.
I start singing in my head:
Here I am again, the same old situation,
why does the guy thing have to be so complicated?
I should've played it cool, instead I made a fool
oh the things I do.
Cause I'm young, and I'm dumb
I do stupid things when it comes to love
And even if I always end up crying
well, you can't blame a girl for trying
Oh, oh
oh, oh
No, you can't blame a girl for trying
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
No
I should've shut my mouth, I could've kept it quiet
I might have freaked him out, cause I was so excited
But I just couldn't wait, I took a leap of faith
Oh, the things I say
Cause I'm young, and I'm dumb
I do stupid things when it comes to love
And even if I always end up crying,
Well, you can't blame a girl for trying
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
No you can't blame a girl for trying
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
No
And I think sometimes, I tend to be my own worst enemy
And maybe someday, I'm gonna catch a shooting star falling out of the blue
Doin' what I do
And just as I'm giving up, my heart is palpitating
Here comes another one, and it's so intoxicating
And being where I've been I know that in the end
I'll do it all again
Cause I'm young, and I'm dumb
I do stupid things when it comes to love
And even if I always end up crying
Well, love will find me, there ain't no denying
But, you can't blame a girl for trying
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
No, you can't blame a girl for trying
Mmmmmmm
Oh
I smiled to myself, I really liked this one. I got up from the chair I was sitting in and started unpacking. I got the single bed, Sarah was on the bottom bunk, and Riley raced to the top bunk. This was going to be the longest two weeks ever.
"So, Riley, how are you and Farkle?" I asked.
"He's so... great. He knows everything I like and I know everything he likes. We were just made for each other. We get along so well..." Riley started rambling on and on about Farkle and what a catch he is. She gave Sarah and I the bubbliest answer.
Right as Riley finished gawking over Farkle, there was a knock on the door.
"Peaches, some one's at the door!"
"I got it!" I ran over to the door.
"Hello! I will be your mountain guide for the next two weeks I'm-"
"Thor?!" I practically yelled.
"Maya?!" I jumped to hug him because he was so tall. He spun me around and then set me back down on the floor.
My smile couldn't escape my face.
"Maya... who is this?" Sarah asked.
"This is my older brother Jack, but we call him Thor because, well, look at him!" I responded. Thor was a very tall, strong, hot guy. He's a freshman in college now, he loves the outdoors, and was a star football player when he went to Abigail Adams High.
"Ri Ri!" Thor said walking in hugging Riley.
"Hey Thor! Long time, no see," she smiles.
"Yeah I know, but um... anyways I'm your mountain guide, AKA room advisor for the next two weeks!"
"C'mon! We have so much to talk about!" I say dragging him out of the room.
"Nice to meet you!" Sarah yells back before I shut the door.
I jump onto Thor's back like old times and scream,"To the lobby!"
Thor obeys and we laugh all the way down the stairs.

Does anyone else sing along when an author puts a Sabrina Carpenter song in their story? IK I do!!!
If you don't know, Thor is the senior guy from Girl Meets High School Part 1 and in that other love triangle. I wanted Maya to have an older sibling and I thought, why not Thor? Only difference is I made him in college. Don't worry it's a REAL brother, sister relationship ;)
Did you like it? Let me know!
