Rory ended up leaving the kazeebo area of town to head back home🏠 around 4:30 pm when she heard the alarm go off on her phone📱. She had to be home in time before her mom, she would be there getting ready for the evening with the grandparents. They usually leave around 6 pm to get there. It takes them about a half hour to get there. That's without traffic. Rory was about done with her book📚 when she left anyway. This was how focused she was on it all this time she was there. When she got home🏡 she put all the stuff in her room and then she got in the shower🚿 to start getting ready before her mom came home🏡 because when she gets to the house🏠 she will have to get in, too.
At the inn Lorelai went in the kitchen before she was gonna leave. She saw Sookie talking to one of the cooks there. She was kinda yelling at him for something he did.
Sookie- I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD WALK🚶 AWAY FROM WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUIN THIS DISH. THAT'S A WASTE OF GOOD FOOD HERE. YOU CAN'T WALK🚶 AWAY WHEN YOU MAKE THIS DISH OR THIS HAPPENS.
The chief- Sorry about this. It won't happen again.
Sookie- If it does happen again with this dish or any other dish I will hve to fire you.
The chief- I understand
Sookie turned around and saw Lorelai standing at the door, so she walked over to talk to her.
Lorelai- What was that all about?
Sookie- That chief over there that I was yelling at ruined a perfectly good dish and I got mad. He about got fired , but I gave him one more chance to redeem himself. He understands what is going on here and now I hope he won't do it again.
Lorelai- Well, your the one in charge of this area and you have a right to decide what happens her.
Sookie- So, you leaving to go to the grandparents now?
Lorelai- Yeah, I have to go home🏡 and get ready for the nightmare to begin.
Sookie- See you later. Things will be fine here.
Lorelai- I know they will be. They have you and Michelle .
She got done talking she left and headed home.
Lorelai pulled up to the house around 5:15 pm and parked the car. She came right in. Rory was in her room and heard her come in the house🏠.
Lorelai- Can't talk. Gotta get in the shower and be ready in 45 mins, so we are not late.
Rory- ok
So, with that she ran up to get a shower🚿 fast as possible. When Lorelai is in a hurry she can get things done fast and that is a good thing to know about her. Rory was done getting ready when she got out of the shower🚿 and was drying her hair Rory was already waiting for her to get done, so they could leave already. While, she was waiting to leave she text💬 Jesse.
Text time:
Rory- I'm about 2 go 2
the grandparents house
Jess- B safe on ur way there
Rory- I can't wait 2 c u afterward
Jess- me, too
ur gonna need it from being there
Rory- yeah, that's true
well, g2g bout 2 leave
Soon as she got done texting💬 her mom came down the stairs.
Lorelai- Ok, I'm ready to go now.
Rory- Ok, let's not be late.
They both headed out the front door to finally leave and head to the grandparents house🏠 now.
About a half hour later they arrived to the grandparents house🏠. They were right on time, so they got out of the car🚗 and stood at the door for a minute like they always do. They dreaded this every time they come here because things don't always go to well. Ever since Lorelai got pregnant with Rory they have been fighting. They could never get along. Lorelai moved out and didn't really contact the grandparents til Rory got accepted to " Chilton. " That's when Loriali got a hold of them and got the money💰 for " Chilton " in exchange for friday night dinners. They rang the doorbell a minute after standing there. The maid answered the door and let them in. She took them into the family room were the grandparents were waiting.
The maid- Mrs. Gilmore your daughter and granddaughter are here to see you.
Mrs. Gilmore- Thank you!!!
She went back to the kitchen to finish getting dinner ready now. Grandpa was getting them their drinks🍸 that they always have and brought it to where they were sitting. Then they all started to talk til the dinner was ready.
Richard- So, girls what do you have planned for the summer🌞 since college is not in session?
Rory- Mom and I are planning on a vacation right now with some friends to Ocean city, MD.
Emily- How long will you girls be gone for?
Lorelai- We will be gone for two weeks, mom.
Emily- So, that means you will miss two friday night dinners for this vacation of your as you are telling us right now.
Lorelai- Is that a problem, mom?
Emily- I don't see a problem. Just hope you girls be safe while you're there.
Rory- Thanks, Grandma. I need this after being in college for the school year. I worked hard and got the grades to move up.
Emily- Yes, and we are proud of what you have accomplished this year. We knew you would succeed at " Yale. "
Richard- Do you girls know when you are leaving, yet.
Rory- No, not, yet. I have to find out what is going on with my friend Paris fligher✈ Miles and then we can book the vacation. But, in the meantime I got a job at the " Stars⭐ Hollow " bookstore to make money💰 for the vacation and for when I go back to school. Tony knows how much I love the store and books📚. He knows how much the town loves us as well, so he handed me the job right away and I start tomorrow.
Richard- We are all proud of the things you have been doing. You keep making us all proud of you everytime you do something.
Rory- Thank you.
While they were talking the maid came in the family room to talk to Emily for a second.
The maid- Excuse me, Mrs Gilmore, but the food is ready now.
Emily- Thank you!!! We will be right in.
The maid left the room and they all went to the dining room to sit down and eat dinner together. Part of the time they were eating Loriali was cracking jokes at the food like she does sometimes to lighten the mood at the table because sometimes the conversations are dull. They had chocolate cake🍮 for dessert when they got done eating. Soon after they got done with dessert the girls were ready to head home🏡 like they usually do. There was nothing else to do there at the house because they had nothing planned for them at the time. Before they left though Richard went to his office to get an envelope and when he came out he handed it to Rory.
Richard- For your vacation.
Rory- Grandpa, you didn't have to do this.
Richard- But, I wanted to. You enjoy it.
Rory- thank you!!!
Once Richard got done talking to Rory they both left the house and headed back to " Stars⭐ Hollow " right now. They were gonna go straight over to Luke's diner.
