Happy summer

Chapter 35

     Today was now Friday and Rory had to talk to Taylor before she went to work because tonight was the town meeting here in " Stars Hollow. " She was hoping he was gonna let her make the announcement tonight. She got up a little earlier today to get ready and leave. Jess was gonna leave when he wanted to without her because she was going into town to talk to Taylor. Jess don't like talking to him much at all. As she was getting ready her mom was in the kitchen getting the coffee made and when it was done she gave a cup to Rory, so she could drink it before she left the house.

Lorelai- You're up early today?

Rory- Have to go into town to talk to Taylor before work. Jess will go to town when he is ready. He don't wanna come with me because he don't wanna have to start work earlier.

Lorelai- Well, Luke already went to the diner to start the day. 

Rory- Kinda figured. Considering the time they open up in the morning. 

Lorelai- Well, I'll be going to the inn soon to start the day. I think Sookie is already there getting the food preparation ready for the day.

Rory- Ok, I'm leaving now. Tell Jess I'll stop at the diner before work to see him.

Lorelai- ok

So, Rory grabbed her bag and left the house toward the town.

    When she arrived in town she headed over to " Dossey's Market " and went inside. She  saw a worker there and asked to talk to Taylor. Then the worker went to get him. A minute later Taylor came out to talk to her.  

Taylor- Hey, Rory. What do I owe this visit today?

Rory- I need to ask you something and I hope you let me do this once I tell you.

Taylor- Well, let me hear it.

Rory- Well, as you know we were on that vacation for two weeks and just got back yesterday.

Taylor- Aha!!!

Rory- And on this vacation Jess proposed to me. 

Taylor- I see and where are you going with this?

Rory- On the vacation besides getting engaged we got married. And now we were wondering at the town meeting tonight if we can tell everyone since they all will be there that we are married.

Taylor- Sure, I don't see why you can't. Congadulations on getting married. See you tonight.

Rory- Thanks!!!!

Soon after she got done talking to Taylor she went over to the diner to talk to Jess real quick.

      Jess Just got to the diner a few minutes before she got there.  He saw her coming in and he knew she didn't have much time to get to work, so he went to talk to her.

Jess- So, I take it you went to talk to Taylor?

Rory-Yeah, that's where I was before you got up.

Jess- What did he say?

Rory- He told me we can make the announcement tonight at the meeting.

Jess- Great!!! Well, I'll let you go, so you won't be late for work.

Rory- Alright! Love you!

Jess- Love you, too!!!

She let the diner and went straight to the bookstore before Andrew gets mad that she is late. So, far she hasn't been late since she started the job and that's a good thing. She now can't wait till tonight to make the announcement at the town meeting when they get done at the grandparents house for their weekly Friday night dinner.
