Happy summer

chapter 9

     Today was the day that Rory was gonna start her new job at the " Stars⭐ Hollow " Bookstore. The dream job in town. She couldn't wait to start this job today, so she got up out of her bed around 7 am to start getting ready for her first day on the job. Her mom didn't have to work today. It was Saturday and usually Lorelai don't have to work if she don't want to considering it was her in. Rory was allowed to wear what she wanted when she works at the bookstore long as it's not revealing to people, but Andrew won't have to worry about what she wears because Rory don't dress like that at all. When Rory got ready she grabbed what she would be needing for today and then started to head into town, so she won't be late today.

  Once Rory got into town she went over to Luke's to get some coffee☕ before the bookstore opened. The bookstore wasn't far from there and she had a few minutes to get the coffee☕ to take it with her. 

Luke- Hey, Rory. What will it be?

Rory- Just a coffee☕ to go. I don't wanna be late.

Luke- Good Luck on your first day. 

Rory-  Thanks!!! I will be back here when I get done at work today because I am gonna see Jess for a little bit.

Luke- Ok, see you later.

Luke handed Rory her coffee and she left the diner and headed on over to work.

     Lorelai got out of bed when Rory left the house🏠 to got to work. She didn't know what to do for today since she didn't have to go to the inn unless there was a problem for her to take care of. She was in her room picking out something to wear for the day. She was gonna head over to the diner, so she could get some coffee☕ and something to eat for sure. She didn't want to walk🚶 into town, so she took the jeep and drove on over when she got done getting ready to go. When she gets into town she could decide then what she would like to do. She will find out what Luke will be up to for the day as well.  When she got done getting ready for the day she got in the jeep and headed right into town. She drove straight to Luke's without stopping at the bookstore. She figured that Rory didn't want her to go in there on her first day of work. She knew she would do a good job even if she didn't go in to check on her. Lorelai pulled up to the diner and parked the jeep. She grabbed her bag and then went into the diner. Luke saw her walk in and grabbed a cup☕ and the coffee☕ and walked right over to the usual table she sits at to give her some. He knew she needed first thing of the day. He poured the coffee☕ once he got to the table. 

Lorelai- Hey, did Rory make it to her first day of work on time?

Luke- Yeah, she did. She stopped in here first to get some coffee☕ to take with her. 

Lorelai- That's good to hear that she made it on time to the first day. I know she hates being late for things.

Luke- What are you gonna be doing for the day since you don't have to work?

Lorelai- Oh, I don't know, yet. I thought maybe you could put Ceaser in charge for the day and we could go do something.

Luke- I don't know. You know how I am with letting him be in charge. The place is different from the time I left and I have to fix everything.

Lorelai- Well, you need to take some time off, so we could go shopping for our vacation.

Luke- What do I possibly need to buy for the vacation that will make me wanna leave this place to Cesar for the day.

Lorelai- I have a list of things we need and thought we could spend some time together for a little while. 

Luke- Alright!!! I'll talk to Cesar and let him know what is going on then.
