They were all still in shock when they heard the news. Who wouldn't be when it involves death? Worse, the death of someone you hold dear.

It wasn't going to be easy to go live on tv and pay tribute to someone whose life was just starting to take wing.

But it was the least they could do. He has touched a lot of lives even for a brief period, and that alone deserves more than one episode of the show.

Alden was the most inconsolable. No matter how much Maine tried to hug him tight, rubbing his back and kissing away his tears, he would just keep on crying. She, too, had been crying for several days now, but she has to stay strong for him. She knows how much the kid meant to him.

She couldn't bear to read to him the obituary that the EB people wrote out for him.

"He was not just a child star. He was the star in the lives of the dabarkads. He tugged at everyone's hearts, his laughter and playfulness still lingering the halls of Broadway. He had his way of charming everyone, with his songs, his dancing, even his tantrums. Each day that he arrives on set, he was like a magnet. People are just drawn to him, and though he does get annoyed everytime his cheeks get pinched, he would still smile and be giddy with the attention.

Sebastian Benedict Granfon, dear Baeby Baste to every dabarkads from Batanes to Jolo, six years old, passed away yesterday, 2 September 2018. He is survived by his loving parents Sol and Sheila, and his brother Sam.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, toys will be offered and donated to the Philippine Children's Medical Center."

Maine held on to Alden's hand, shaking as she held the mic as it was her turn to give her message.

"Baeby Baste, we love you so much. Papa Lord will take care of you now. We are happy that you will now rest. I will always be your Yaya Dub, and Kuya Alden will always be your loving kuya. And we promise to name our first baby after you."
