Chapter 16

A/N So guys this is kind of going to be like the first chapter in this book. I'm going to skip over a couple of years. I know it's a little crazy, but it's happening.

3rd Person
2 Weeks Later

Maya and Nathan were going to the doctor's today. It was going to be their first check up to see how the baby was. They were both nerves.

"Maya everything is going to be alright. You know that." Nathan says to his nerves girlfriend.

"Is it really? Nathan anything could happen." Maya was very scared right now. She was pray for everything to be alright. But if it wasn't, she didn't know what would happen. Would Nathan not love her? Would she hate herself? There was so many thoughts running threw her head that Maya didn't even notice that the were at the doctor's, and Nathan was holding her door open.

"Maya. Come one babe." Maya jumps slightly. "Are you alright?" Nathan bends down looking into Maya's eyes.

"I'm just scared. That's all." Maya sighs. Nathan lightly kisses her, helping her out of the car.

 "Name?" The receptionist asked them when they walked up to her.

"Maya Walker and Nathan Sykes." Nathan says.

"Oh yes, the doctor will be right with you." She tell them. Nathan smiles at her before walking over to the waiting chairs with Maya.

Nathan kisses the side of Maya's head as she leans her head on his shoulder.

"Ms. Walker and Mr. Sykes?" A doctor call their names. Nathan and Maya slowly stand walking over to him. "I'm Dr. Potter, it's nice to meet you both." The doctor hold his hand out to them. Nathan shakes the man's hand before he shows them to the examination room.

"So Ms. Walker you believe you are pregnant?" The doctor asks Maya.

"Yes sir I do." She tells him.

"Alright when was your last period?"

"About three weeks to a month ago." Maya answers.

"I see, and you've taken pregnancy tests correct?" Maya nods at his question.

"Alright I'm going to run a few test to be sure." The doctor smiles and starts taking blood from her. Nathan holds Maya hand the whole time, knowing she isn't the most fond person of needles.

"Alright, I'll be back with your results." The doctor smiles at them before walking out of the room.

20 minutes later the doctor comes back into the room with a worried look on his face.

"Well, I'm very sorry to tell you this... But you're not pregnant. You must have just not had your period that month. I am very sorry." The doctor tells them.

"W-what? N-no." Maya starts sobbing. Nathan pulls her into him trying to clam her and hold back his own tears.

"I'll leave you two be." The doctor rushes out of the room.

"Maya. Maya, baby, calm down. It's alright. We'll try again another time. It's alright." Nathan says in a calming voice. He feels a few tears fall, but get rid of them as fast as he could.

"Y-you're right. At least it's not a miscarriage right? Just missing my period is better then a miscarriage." Maya says calming down.

"So are you okay now?" Nathan asks her.

"Yeah I should be fine. Let's just go home." Maya says giving the best smile she could. She knew she wasn't exactly alright, but she was better then she would have been if it was a miscarriage or something. She would have been very happy if she was having a baby, but sadly that wasn't happening. This time.
