Chapter 5

Nathan

"Nathan.... You- Your back..." Maya trailed off.

I looked down at my hands. I didn't really know what to say to her. "Maya I-I know you must hate-" I was cut off by her tackling my into a hug.

"I could never hate you." She said hiding her face in my neck. "I love you."

"I love you too Maya." I told her.

I smiled to myself holding Maya in my arms. I kissed her neck once before taking in her sent and everything about her. I held my face in her hair, trying to hold back my tears. I have missed her so much.

"So the traitor is back?" I pulled out of my hug with Maya looking at the boys who were now back to normal and fully clothed. Max threw me and Maya some cloths. Maya looking down at the floor before running up the stairs.

"I'm not a traitor." I growled. Jay scuffed at me while I was pulling on the cloths.

"Not a traitor? Okay how about the one abandoned? Because I believe that you abandoned us!" He snapped at me. I was almost taken back at Jay's words.

"I'm neither! I need to take control of myself! I needed to learn something about myself! I did that! I was always going to come back!" I yelled at him. Jay pushed me back. I felt my eyes start to burn. I knew they were changing colour.

"Bull shit!" He spat.

Tom and Max pulled me back and Siva, Jay before we could start anything. He's lucky they were here or I would have put him in his place.

"You do not talk to your alpha like that!" I told him, my voice low and in a growl.

"Alpha? I believe that I became the alpha after you ran off. I was the next male to change. There for I took over. How much do you even know about the pack Nathan? Hm?" Jay chuckled, pushing Siva off of him. Tom and Max dropped my arm's when Jay waved his hand at them.

"Oh I know more then you ever will." I smugly said.

"Prove it." He smirked.

"Maya the alpha female, turned April 23, 2011; Jay beta male, turned June 3, 2013; Siva beta male, turned June 12, 2013; Max and Tom Omegas, turned July 2, 2013; Emily Ann pup of the pack, turned August 1, 2013." I left it at that. Jay looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Emily has not turned! You are mad!" He yelled.

"Oh really? Why don't you prove that one to me?" I smirked at him. He stood there for a moment, not moving. I don't think he had an idea of what he was doing.

"Exactly my point. You can't. If you want to be alpha so bad then Jay challenge me. Try and take my alpha male spot. Oh and try to take Maya from me, because she is my mate." I pushed him back and he stood watching me once again. I stared him down, and he tried to give me the same look back. He looked away giving up.

"Look at me and tell me you want to be alpha." I growled at him. Jay tried to raise his gase up to look at me, but couldn't. I walked away from him and outside. Lizzie, Nathan, and Emily stood next to the cars.

"Emily show Nathan inside and introduce him to everyone please. Oh and make sure they all do realize that you've turned." I told her kissing the top of her head. She smiled nodding her head. Em took Nathan's hand dragging him inside.

"You really didn't take the time to tell them all where they stand? At all?" I asked Lizzie.

"Nathan I told them what would happen if you didn't come back." Lizzie said looking over to the still open door.

"Yeah well Jay took it a little too far. He tried calling me a traitor and an abandoned everyone! Even tried to call himself alpha!" I exclaimed.

"I only told Jay that if Maya wanted him to take the alpha male spot he could. Maya wouldn't have it, because she knew that you would be coming back. Jay just took things into his own hands for the most part." Lizzie fought back.

"I will start putting people in there places if I have too Lizzie. We're not like real wolves. The alpha female doesn't run this pack. I do. And I will prove that." I told her before walking into the house.

Everyone was now sat in the living room watching Emily's small wolf bounce around. I smiled at her and she bounced over to me. She was about the size of a Beagle right now, but as she ages and grows she'll become the same size as Maya.

I gave Emily a kiss on her nose before throwing a blanket over her. The girl under the blanket changed sizes. Soon Emily's head popped out from under the blanket. Smiling she ran upstairs. Yeah I figured out how Lizzie got us to changed back. It's interesting.

"Steeling my tricks I see Nathan." Lizzie smirked walking over to the couch sitting down next to a man that I didn't know.

"That is?" I asked a little smugly. I know my eyes were close to changing colours. I don't like Lizzie with most men, and I had a bad feeling about this guy.

"This," she motioned to him, "is Jackson. My boyfriend." Lizzie smiled. Jackson kissed her cheek making my blood boil.

I gave the other's a look and they gave me one back. "Alright." Was all I said. I stood behind the couch that Maya was seated on. Everyone talked and Jackson kept looking at me. I didn't like him at all. And for some strange reason I know him from some where.

"Hey," I shook Maya's shoulder making her look up at me, "come on. I want to talk." I said nodding out the back door. She nodded getting up. We started to the back door, but were stopped.

"Where are you two going?" Jackson's voice came.

"Why do you care?" I asked him.

"Because I don't know you, and I don't think you should be going anywhere with Maya." He said coming into my sight. He looked really pissed for a strange reason.

"Well you don't need to know me, because with how your acting your not going to be around for long." I snarled at him.

He scuffed walking closer to me. I backed up holding Maya behind me. "Now what's that mean, pretty boy?"

"You really want to know?" I asked him.

"Yeah I really do." He snapped.

Everyone was now looking at us. Lizzie looked at me as if she knew what I was doing and was happy about it. I looked over at the boys and they were nodding their heads. I next looked at Nathan, he held Emily in his arms, he also knew what I was going to do. Emily looked worried, but she gave me a look telling me that what I was going to do to this fool was a good thing.

I finally looked over my shoulder at Maya. She almost looked scared. "Nathan..." She breathed. No one moved. The only sound that came from anyone was breathing. Maya looked me dead in the eyes, taking hold of my left hand.

"Do it."
