Chapter 21

Jay

I watch as Emily and Maya hug their mum. I haven't seen Lizzie in years. Not since that day... I don't need to go into detail about that, it's too hard to think about.

Me and Nathan look at each other. Neither of us knew if she hated us. We both did things that pissed her off, and we know Lizzie can hold and crazy grudge.

"What are we going to do? Just stand here?" I whisper to Nathan.

"Yes." He whispers back and stays watching Lizzie and the girls.

Em pulls out of the hug running over to me. I smile wrapping my arms around her waist as she comes into my arms. Maya walks over to Nathan giving him a large smile, as he puts his arms around her also.

"I know you two are together, but not you." She points at me and Emily. Em's smile drops and she tries to shrink herself into me. I keep my arms around her in a protective way. There was some things I couldn't trust Lizzie with, she was Emily's mother, and Emily was still under 18, Lizzie could take her from me at any time.

I watch Nathan out of the corner of my eye, step in front of me and Emily with Maya still in his hold. He's being an alpha, he's making sure his pack stays together.

"I know I promised to keep all of you safe." Nathan says look at all of us.

"No we all promised each other to keep each other safe. Nathan what are you doing?" Emily growls at him. It wasn't an angry growl it was a scared growl. She knew he was about to do something stupid.

"As your alpha I must do what it takes to keep you all safe. And that is what I am now doing." Nathan slowly backs away from us all, about to turn on his heel.

"Nathan this isn't your job. It's mine, I can't let you do this." Emily says grabbing his arm.

"Jay, you're alpha now. Take care of everyone." Nathan says before breaking out of Emily's grasp, and bolting away from us into a massive group of wolves, they dimolised him in seconds.

"FOR NATHAN!!" I scream. 

"FOR NATHAN!!" Everyone screams as we charge.

I gasp and look at the back of my best friend's head. No, please let that vision be fake. Please let it be something that doesn't happen. He can't do that. He wouldn't do that.

"Jay what did you see?" Em whispers.

"I'll tell you later." I say kissing the top of her head.

"Emily come here." Lizzie voice comes. Em tries to move, but I wont let go of her. I already know what Lizzie is thinking. One thing about having vision's I've already seen this. I didn't know if it was real or not, but I've already seen this. From when I'm watching the back of Nathan's head to now. She's going to try and take Emily from me. She almost got her in my vision.

"Jay, let go of her." Lizzie snaps at me.

"Never." I growl. She's not getting anywhere near Emily.

"Jay, you need to let go of me." Emily whispers looking up at me.

"Em, you need to trust me on this. Stay away from your mum." I tell her.

"Why?" 

"She's trying to take you from me. I'm not letting that happen." I look over at Lizzie who was glaring at me. I glare back at her.

"Are you sure?" Em asks.

"I've already seen it Em. I saw it a while ago. She almost had you." I say.
