"I think it should be a... classy mirror selfie."
"No, we want something involving nature."
"Phil, we hate nature."
"Touché. But no mirror selfies are allowed."
The couple were on in their hotel room, Dan perched on the bed, gnawing on his freshly painted nails while Phil paced around the room, a flustered expression masking his typically happy demeanour.
Their wedding was in seven days. And they wanted their fans to know about their relationship with a selfie of them in their contrasting tuxes and flower crowns posted for all of social media to see.
If only they could decide how where the photo would be taken.
After three more agonising minutes of silence, Dan had chewed off the majority of his nail polish, with fiancé wearing holes into the floor with the ferocity of his every repetitive step. Phil's face was twisted, expression one of either focus or frustration. It was difficult to tell, what with him constantly covering his face with his clammy hands and running them through his onyx hair. That would not end well for his complexion, especially with his wedding in a week.
His sunny disposition had cracks, he wasn't always the joyous, happy guy he was in videos. However, it was rare that he would have a bad day, and Phil had been down for the best part of two weeks.
Dan couldn't even get laid, Phil was so determined to ace his wedding.
I'd better get something special my wedding night, the brunet mused, annoyed but deep down concerned for his wonderful lion.Dan stood up and put a hand on Phil's shoulder. The raven glanced up at his beloved before nodding and flopping down onto the bed next to Dan.
"You haven't been sleeping as well," Dan began, leaning in to Phil, closely and thoroughly inspecting his face.
"Those bags under your beautiful eyes are going to become full on suitcases by the time this is all over!"
Phil chuckled, a hint of a smile showing on his tense face. Still he remained silent.
"You've been so excited about this, this..." For some reason, Dan couldn't bring himself to say wedding. It was almost like he was afraid of saying it.Not in a bad way, of course. He was afraid of waking up from this dream-paradise come true.
He'd snap awake and realise everything he'd experienced was a dream.Dan was a week away from marrying (in his opinion) the sweetest, kindest, hottest man he's ever seen. If he thought about it for too long, he'd get all jittery inside and start rolling around on the bed. Even when his perfect fiancé would enter their room not an hour later and chide Dan for messing up his hard work, the brunet was the happiest he'd felt in a long time.
On their bed, Phil sighed deeply.
"I know."
"It's going to be perfect, Phil."Dan was, on occasion, difficult to live with. He was young, dropped out of university (a subject Phil didn't bring up to avert an oncoming existential crisis) who had no idea who he was until he met Phil. Also, he was a perfectionist. If it wasn't right, you're doing it again, buddy.
However, while he sometimes viewed himself as a burden to Phil, who may have had not as many subscribers (sub to AmazingPhil) but was seen as what he was - a near perfect human being -anyway. Dan was saying perfect too much. He was going to have to erase that word from his vocabulary forever, because he'd used it enough times that night to last him about seven lifetimes, at least.Phil had never thought ill of Dan in the near three decades he'd lived. Even when the brunet with the embarrassingly bad haircut was basically stalking him, Phil was never creeped out or wishing Dan didn't message him. He was grateful to him, because his fans were the best things in the world, especially when he didn't have as many as in those days, while he was younger and a student.
Both of them thought of the idea at the same time, knowing the other so well their minds were in sync.
Or maybe they looked at the Polaroid camera resting peacefully on their cluttered bedside table and shared a completely exhausted, but very excited look.
"I think we have the perfect idea."
"Yep."x
danisnotonfire posted something. check it out!
danisnotonfire's post:
Phil and I are married from today. we couldn't decide on how to tell you with a photo, which is why we are standing in a field while I hold a pocket mirror (inside joke, I'll inform you later) so we made an album to document everything we've done today. Breakfast, the actual ceremony, everything. So please, take this tumblr post as an official announcement of our relationship.
Please don't kill us for not telling all of you sooner.

Nobody mentioned the way Dan freaked out and nearly killed somebody when a HUGE bee landed on his flower crown during the cake cutting part. Don't tell anyone.

i think i used the same word too much. i return to school tomorrow, and i'm writing this frantically!
my song of the chapter is my year six teacher's wedding song, and cliche, so i thought it was appropriate.
(clarifying that I'm not in year six anymore. thanks.)
