Dan is really not pleased this fine morning. Shivering, grumbling and unable to feel his toes, he huffs, folded arms drawing closer around his middle.

"Phil, if you can see the air you're exhaling then it's too cold. Also, it's nine am!"

Phil, skipping a few paces ahead of the brunet, stops and turns toward him, grin covering his face from ear to ear. He smooths his unruly dark hair back down and scratches the back of his neck.

Dan's mind is thrown off track for a moment, too busy admiring the angel before him. Phil is a whirlwind, always aiming for the best and only stopping to sleep and steal Dan's food. Still, he's beautiful, cherry red from the cold and tired from the night before - which he spent editing, thanks very much.

Suddenly, he spots something out of Dan's sight and points excitedly, urging Dan to swivel and see whatever's over his shoulder.
Unless it's Jesus or someone of that description or importance, he ain't moving for anything.

"Wow! A fox, and in broad daylight too!"

"Look, I'm being perfectly honest with you here, but I can't feel my nose or my feet. Right now I could care less about a ginger badger."

Another chilly gust of death wind brutally attacks the bare trees moments before it smacks Dan in the face. Again.
He really hates this British weather - it's only stunningly gorgeous from a distance. A very long way away.

Like, for example, his computer screen. In the warm comforts of his sofa crease. Without the threat of hypothermia, or geese fights.

Why can't it just be spring, or autumn? Where there's blossoms or floating leaves and sunny rainy days? And how, in the name of God, did Phil convince Dan to leave his comfortable bed-cave?

Phil smiles once again, but this time the mischievous light has gone and it leaves Dan awestruck and warm.
"You need to appreciate nature more often than you do. It's a gift to the world!"

Dan is confused. Normally, Phil is just as reluctant to leave the house as he is. Unless he's up to something.

Wait.

Dan covers his face with his hands.

"Phil, I swear to God if this is Pokemon related..."

He looks up to see the other on one knee, hopeful but afraid look in radiant blue eyes and ring in hand.

"Holy crow-"

"Will you marry me?"

The same smile is still on Phil's face, and after a second Dan notices he's mirrors his expression.
They're alone in the park, it's early and cold. Nobody in their right mind would ever come here at this time. Dan's heart blossoms into lovestruck flames at just how much effort and preparation was put into this.

It's kind of embarrassing.

He jolts when he realises he's still not answered, Phil raising one eyebrow, smile wavering.

"Yes, yes, I'll marry you, positive-"

They kiss like they do anything. Passionately - but still with that part of familiar love too. They stare into each other's eyes, and it's a whirlwind of happiness.
