Chapter 5- "It's a start"

Lilly's POV

I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I was up till midnight unpacking and I was tired. I had slept in till noon. Oh I feel so bad. They're probably all waiting for me. I then got out of bed and went downstairs. To my surprise, only Mark, Stormie, and Rydel were awake. "Morning," I said with a smile.
"Morning Lilly. How'd you sleep?" Stormie asked.
"Wonderful thank you," I replied.
"Sorry, the guys don't wake up until around 2," Rydel said.
"Dang. That late? I think this is the latest I've slept in...well in awhile anyway," I said.
"Really?!" Rydel said in disbelief.
"Yeah. I have to wake up early for my job but I love it so it's worth it," I said.
"Well at least you love it," Rydel replied.

The guys had finally woken up and we ate lunch. Just sandwiches but I wasn't complaining. I hadn't had an actual lunch in awhile.
"So Lilly how old are you?" Rocky said all of a sudden.
"Um I just turned 20. Should I be concerned on why you're asking?" I said with a small smile.
"Nah don't worry about it," he said with a smirk.
After lunch, I decided I should start my project. I went into my room and grabbed my laptop, notebook with all the project, and pen. I walked downstairs and sat on the couch. I was immediately surrounded by the guys...well minus Ellington. Him and Rydel were outside being cute.
"May I help you?" I asked.
"Just interested," Riker replied.
I ignored their presence and started typing. I looked at my project and started thinking of questions and things I needed to do in order to accomplish my project.
"Wait," Ross said.
"What Ross. I'm a little busy," I said annoyed.
"I know and I'm sorry. But I couldn't help but notice that there is no fun in your plan. Not trying to be a bitch by any means but there isn't," he said.
"Well I have a project that I need to do. And I don't get paid if I don't get it done. That's why no fun," I replied.
"I think- and before I go on, I know by no means can I do what you do but, I think to get all aspects of our life, you need fun," he said.
"Well it's a start Ross. I'll give you that," I said as he smiled widely.

I finally finalized my plan. First, I would go on a "date" so to speak with each of them in the time I'm here and get each perspective of their lives. Then, I would see what they all like to do for fun. Next, I would go shopping with each of them and get their style interests. Lastly, I would ask all of them what they feel the band will be. Pretty good plan if I do say so myself.
"So you got your plan done?" Riker came into the room and asked.
"Yep. I finished it. I might have to add a few things in between but for the most part it's done," I said.
"Good. Now you can go swimming with us," he said with a smile.
"I don't know," I said.
"Well if you don't go I'm gonna have to throw you in...so it's your choice," he said smirking.
"Okay okay I'll go change. I'll meet you out there," I said.
I then walked upstairs into my room and closed the door behind me. I opened my drawer of swim suits and picked out my black and white polka dot bikini top and baby blue bottoms. After I changed, I wiped off the little makeup I had on from yesterday and put my hair in a French braid. I think I looked pretty decent.

                            Rydel's POV

    Lilly is awesome! She's super sweet and I can't wait to hang out with her more throughout this month.
"Hey Lilly," I said gesturing for her to come sit by me as she walked outside.
"I love your swimsuit," she said to me.
"Awe this old thing? Your swimsuit is so adorable I love it too!" I said with a smile.
"You wanna swim?" I asked.
"Nah not now. Let's tan. New York doesn't get much sun. I need as much as I can get," she said.
"Deal," I said.
We then laid on beach chairs next to the pool. After only a few minutes of laying in the sun, we were soaked by the guys jumping in the pool.
"I'm gonna kill you!" I said jokingly as I went and "wrestled" in the water with Riker.

Lilly's POV

As Rydel was wrestling with Riker I felt very awkward and didn't know what to do. All of a sudden to arms picked me up. I turned my head to see it was Ross.
"Come on you're going in with me," he said with a smirk.
Then he jumped in with me in his arms. I popped up from underwater.
"Dude I can't swim," I said.
"Really? Oh my god. I'm so sorry," he said concerned.
"I'm kidding," I said chuckling.
"Jerk," Ross said half laughing.

After a few hours of being outside in/by the pool, we all decided to change clothes and then do our own things. So I need to work on my plan. I'll go oldest to youngest for the "dates".
"Hey Riker!" I said knocking on his door.
"Yes Lilly?" He said.
"So for my plan I need to go on a date so to speak with all of you individually and ask some questions. I'm gonna go oldest to youngest so your first. What do we wanna do?" I asked.
"Um...we should go out to eat. Just simple and easy," he said with a smile.
"Deal. Tonight then?" I asked.
"Yep. Around 6," he said.
I them smiled and left his room. I went to the couch and sat down. "My article is gonna start shaping up," I thought.
