Chapter 24- The Propostion

                               Ross's POV

    I woke up before Lilly and decided it was the perfect time to call her parents. I went downstairs and called her mom.

Phone call:
Ross- Hi Mrs. Shay. I'm Ross. Lilly's boyfriend.
Mrs. Shay- Oh please call me Jenny. And yes I have heard a lot about you
Ross- As have I. So I was wondering. Would you be okay if I surprised Lilly with a trip to see you?
Mrs. Shay- We would love that! When?
Ross- How bout on Friday? (Four days)
Mrs. Shay- Sounds great. See you then! Bye Ross.
Ross- Bye Mrs Shay
End of phone convo

Perfect.
I sat down at the kitchen counter and booked the flight and hotel on my laptop.
Right after I closed my laptop, Lilly was sitting by my side.
"Good morning Lilly," I said smiling.
"Why good morning Ross. Isn't it just a lovely day?" She said in a cheesy voice.
"Your cute. And yes, it is a lovely day. Want breakfast?" I asked.
"Yes! But I wanna cook," she said walking into the pantry.
"Whatever you say love," I replied.
She walked out of the pantry with pancake mix and chocolate chips.
"Chocolate chip pancakes!" She said smiling.
She got out a bowl and started cooking.
I went on my phone to pass the time.
I took at picture of her posted it on Instagram saying: Get you a girl that can cook🙏❤️
"Once again. You're cute," I said.
"I love you," she replied, "But we're so sappy oh my god," she said laughing.
"I'm sorry I'm so in love with you," I said.
"Okay Ross starting from now, we will not be sappy. Okay?" She asked.
"Okay," I replied.
"Promise?" She asked sticking out her pinky.
I smiled.
"Promise," I replied shaking pinkies with her.
"Now let me work my magic!" She said as she grabbed a bowl.
I scrolled through Instagram and twitter.
"Hey babe? I'm getting a lot of tweets from fans wanting us to sing a duet. You down?" I asked.
"I mean sure why not," she said smiling, "It'll be fun!"
"But just to warn you, they might ask for you on tour when we release the new album and start touring again. So be prepared. Cuz I already know they'll love you. I can see it in lights! 'R5 featuring Lilly Shay' Can't you see it?" I asked.
"Maybe," she said as she continued to make pancakes.

    10 minutes later, Lilly put a stack of pancakes in front of me.
"Bon appetite!" She said smiling.
"You are literally the best," I said kissing her lips softly.
"Now eat before they get cold," she said messing with my hair.
I smiled and started to eat my pancakes.

                               Lilly's POV

    I was sitting next to Ross eating my pancakes when my phone started to ring. It was Jake face timing.
FaceTime call:
J- Hey love how are you?
L- I'm good. You? Oh how'd that date go?!
J- Unbelievable. She is amazing, Lils. We went to dinner and just talked. I've never been with someone who's understood me so much. Well besides you but you're my best friend and I love you but beside the point. She is so great.
L- Jake I'm so happy for you! I'm glad you've found someone to keep you company while I'm gone. You deserve someone like that.
J- Thank you Lilly.
L- Anything. Oh say hi to Ross.
J- Hey Ross
R- Hey Jake
L- Jake we all miss youuuuu
J- Well I'll see y'all soon enough. I got to go Lils. I love youuuu
L- I love you too. Byeeeeee
J- Byeee

"I miss him," I said sighing, "So let's do something to get my mind off him. Wanna go swimming?" I asked.
"My girlfriend? In a bikini? Of course!" Ross said.
I rolled my eyes.
"I can't help it my girlfriend is hot and is the most beautiful girl I've ever met!" He said smiling.
I just blushed.
"I'm gonna go change clothes," I said.
We both walked upstairs and into our separate rooms.
I put on my pink bikini top and black ruffled cheeky bottoms. Then walked to Ross's room.
He had slid on his pink swim trunks.
"Awe we're twinning," I said smiling.
"Except you're hotter," Ross mumbled under his breath.
"Let's go down to the pool," I said.
We both walked down to the pool.
Ross immediately jumped in.
"Ahhh. Feels great. Come on in babe!" Ross exclaimed.
"Sure in a little bit. Let me lay in the sun for a little," I said laying back in a pool chair.
I closed my eyes.
All of a sudden, I felt water dripping on my face.
"Babe what the hell?" I asked.
"The waters great. Please come in?" He begged.
I shook my head.
"Well what was the point of a SWIMsuit then?" He asked.
"Fine I'll get in," I said as I stood up.
"Yay!" Ross yelled.
I walked to the stairs of the pool and got into the water.
Ahhh. It did feel good.
"This is nice," I mumbled.
Ross swam up next to me and placed his hands on my hips.
"Told you," he whispered.
He leaned into kiss me but I splashed water in his face.
"You didn't!" Ross said laughing.
"Oh I did," I replied.
Then we went on to have a water fight.
"Okay, okay. I give up. You win," I stated laughing.
He smiled.
"Finally I beat you at something," he said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Hey where are your siblings?" I asked.
"I don't know I think they're at Ellington's but I don't know," he said.
"And that doesn't concern you?" I asked.
"Not really cuz I know they are all together. I'll call them when I get inside. But I don't need to be worried. As long as I have you in my arms and everything will be fine," he said kissing my neck softly.
We both swam around in the water for another hour.
"I'm gonna go shower," I said pulling myself out of the pool.
"Okay. I am too. I'll meet you after," he said.
I smiled and we both walked inside and into our bathrooms.
I stripped off my wet swimsuit and got into the shower.
Once I finished showering. I brushed through my hair and decided to let it air dry. I put on my glasses too, yes if you didn't know, I have glasses. Then I walked into my room in a towel.
Ross was laying on my bed on his phone freshly showered.
"Hey love," he said looking up from his phone.
"Hey," I replied.
Then Ross went back to his phone.
I put on undergarments and rummaged through my closet.
I found a red tie dye shirt and a pair of black Nike running shorts.
I then grabbed my phone and slid into Ross's arms.
"Your so cute," he said kissing my forehead.
"Whatcha doing? You seem to be very involved with your phone," I said.
"I'm texting my mom. She wants us to come over for dinner. The others were over there most of the day. So she said we can come over whenever. And she said not to dress up, to come comfortable. When do you wanna go over?" He asked.
"Whenever you want. I don't care when. As long as I'm with you, all is good," I said kissing his cheek.
"Do you wanna go now?" He asked, "It's 4," he stated.
"Sure. Let's go," I said.
He smiled and helped me up off the bed and we walked downstairs.
I slid on my converse as did Ross and we walked out to the car.
I held Ross's hand as he drove us to his moms.
"You are my favorite person ever," I said smiling.
Ross kissed my hand.
"I love you so much," he exclaimed.
"Not that I don't wanna go but why did you mom invite us over? I mean is there any special occasion?" I asked.
"I am at liberty not to tell you yet," he said with a smirk.
"Ross Shor-"
"Lilly Rose," he countered.
I sighed.

Ross's POV

The truth is, I felt bad I couldn't tell Lilly yet. But this is a huge surprise.
She's gonna both love us and hate us for it.
I hope she doesn't hate us too much though.
"And here we are," I said as I pulled into my parents driveway.
I took Lilly's hand and we walked into their house.
"Hey mamma," I said hugging my mom.
"Hey Ross," my mom said smiling and kissing my cheek.
"Lilly! How are you beautiful?" She asked Lilly hugging her.
"I'm great. How are you?" Lilly asked.
"Fantastic. I can't wait for you to hear the surprise. We've all been planning it for a couple weeks now!" Mom said smiling.
Oh gosh mom don't make her mad.
Lilly smiled.
"Ross the kids are downstairs," mom said.
I took Lilly downstairs with me.
"Hey guys," I said to my siblings as we walked into the family room.
"Hey," they all said in unison.
"Lilly! My baby!" Rydel said jumping up and pulling Lilly into a hug.
"Hey Rydel!" Lilly said smiling.
I walked  to talk to Riker.
                              Lilly's POV

    I'm dying to know the surprise.
We all sat and talked until Stormie called us up for dinner.
"Sorry Mark couldn't be here Lilly. He's working late tonight," she said sighing.
"It's alright. I'll see him soon!" I said smiling.
Stormie put a plate of steaks on the table and a huge bowl of mashed potatoes.
"Thank you mom!" They all said in unison.
"Thank you Stormie," I said.
Stormie smiled.
"I'm so glad you are here!" She said hugging me.
We all talked and ate dinner.
Once we'd finished, it was time for the surprise.
"Okay Lilly. So you know how you can sing, right?" Riker started.
"I guess. Why?" I asked.
"Well, we have a proposition for you," Rocky said.
"You, record a song or two with us for a single as a bonus to our fans," Rydel said.
"And the best part is, you can come on tour with us and preform the songs!" Ross said.
"Wow. I don't know what to say," I said.
"How bout yes!" Rydel said.
"Maybe. But I don't know about the whole tour. Maybe a few shows. It's a possibility. Thank you!" I said smiling.
"YAYYY! She basically said yes!" Rocky shouted.
Ross squeezed my hand under the table.
"Thank you," he whispered.
I was happy for the opportunity.
I appreciated it so much.
"Mom we're gonna go watch a movie!" Rydel said.
"Okay kids. I'll be in my room reading my book. Night," Stormie said.
We all hugged her and then went downstairs.
We made a "bed" out of sleeping bags and pillows because none of us felt like driving home.
The order of us sleeping went Ryland, Ross, me, Rocky, Rydel, then Riker. Ellington was at his moms house.
"What movie?" Rydel asked.
"Don't care," I said.
"Let's just watch Friends," Rydel said.
We all agreed and she put on the show.
Ross was out within the first 5 minutes. Soon, Rocky and I were the only ones awake.
"Can't sleep?" Rocky asked.
"Nope. I wanna cuddle with Ross but he is asleep," I stated laughing.
"I wanna cuddle with Alexa but she's visiting her mom," he said also laughing.
I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Be careful, wouldn't want Ross to be pissed," Rocky said laughing.
I smiled.
"I wanna cuddle so I'm going to cuddle with my friend. Goodnight Ross," I said kissing Ross's forehead.
I laid my head onto Rocky's chest and he wrapped his arms around my back.
"You give the best hugs," I mumbled into his chest.
"I'm gonna let you go now. Go to your lover. Goodnight Lils," Rocky said kissing my forehead.
I turned over to face Ross.
I slid into his arms and kissed his jaw softly.
"I love you baby girl," he mumbled kissing my lips.
"I love you," I said.
And we cuddled until morning came.
