(Link's P.O.V)

I sat next to the fire, staring into the flames without a word. We all stopped for a break so we could figure out our next move. From the sounds of it, Lord Damien isn't to far from us now.

"Okay, I've figured out our next plan," everyone looked up as (Y/n) and Avery walked over to us all. (Y/n) stared down at a map in her hands, running her figure along it," there's a base up ahead a little bit. We'll head there and get info on Damien. But there's a lookout over looking it so we'll have to take out the guards there."

"Are we leaving now?" Nichole asked, holding her hands in front of her and looking over at (Y/n).

"Yes. It will be easier to do it now while we can," (Y/n) looked over the top of the map at Nichole.

"Mm..." Nichole stood up," How many guards do you think are there?"

"No idea," (Y/n) put the map in her pocket, looking to everyone, but me. This whole time she hasn't said anything to me. She won't even look at me.

"Well then, lets get it over with," Mason smiled, walking past (Y/n). (Y/n) turned, following them without a word. I stood up, looking to Avery," how long will (Y/n) give me the silent treatment?"

"Well, its (Y/n) we're talking about so it could be forever," Avery shrugged," believe me when I say it, that girl can hold a grunge forever."

"Great..." I whispered as Avery and I stared at follow everyone.

"Yeah, you screwed up, but let me tell you something, every boy does with (Y/n)," Avery laughed as I looked to her.

"Were there other boys who liked her back in the...first war?" I asked as Avery nodded.

"Lots. Boys would do whatever they could to get her to see them. You know, back then that's why a lot of boys hated you," Avery pointed out as I raised an eyebrow.

"Other boy hated me? Why?" I asked as she laughed.

"Well because it didn't take much for you to get her attention. Heck, you could just be standing there doing nothing and she'd look your way. A lot of boys would die for your spot. Even ask the angles, I swear you'd come into the eating halls with a black eye and cuts all over your self cause' some boy beat you."

"So I looked weak in front of (Y/n)?" I looked down as Avery shook her head.

"Probably but guess what, every time (Y/n) saw you like that, it would boil her blood. She'd ask you who hurt you and you'd say no one, though she always figured out who, boys those boys never did learn. If (Y/n) yelled at me then way she did them, I wouldn't even be able to talk no more. Gosh, just a glare from that girl and you feel like she'll get ya. Haha," Avery laughed as I smiled.

"...Yeah..." I looked forward. The sky was a smoky color like it was going to rain or something. In the distance, there was a building. A tower stood a 20 yards away, a light going in a circle around the area. The others were hiding behind what was left of a wall, looking over at the tower.

"So, what's the plan, (Y/n)?" Lina asked, looking at the tower then (Y/n). (Y/n) stared at the tower, thinking thoughtfully of the plan.

"See those two guards up there?" (Y/n) asked. It took everyone a moment to see the two guards, spinning the spot light around and keeping their eyes open for trespassers," we need to take them out. Once we take them out, we can sneak into the building."

"Sounds good," Lina smiled. (Y/n) ran out, everyone else following her. We all entered the building, quietly heading to the top.

"...What's in the building anyways?" I asked Avery as she shrugged.

"Supplies I'm guessing. If we can get a map or something to tell us where Damien is, it will be great," Avery guessed, looking to (Y/n)," Is that's what's in there?"

"There's a room with info, yes. All of the files and stuff are keep here," (Y/n) explained in a low voice," after we find out where Damien is, we'll be ready to fight."

(Y/n) stopped at a small trap door, opening it and looking around. Once she opened the door, light flowed into the room, blinding all of us. (Y/n) closed the door, looking to us with no emotion, I don't know how she wasn't blinded from that.

"Is there only the two guards?" Nichole asked, rubbing her eyes.

"Yes," (y/n) just nodded, leaving her hand on the trap door," we need to do this fast. We need to kill them before they sound the alarm."

"Lets do this," Mason took out his bow, loading an arrow. Everyone got ready to fight as (Y/n) counted down from three. On one, she opened the door and jumped out. Almost insistently, the guards heard us. One came at us as the other went to the alarm. Mason shot the one before it could hit the alarm, killing it in one shot. (y/n) slashed the other across the chest, hitting it off the edge to the ground. As they killed the guards, Avery and Lina went to the lights and moved them upwards. The lights pointed upwards, leaving the room easier to see.

"That was easy~" Lina turned around, smiling brightly at everyone. (Y/n) looked over the edge, looking out the building in the distance.

"(Y/n) dear, is something wrong?" Avery asked, walking to her side and looking at her. (Y/n) narrowed her eyes, biting her lip.

"Damien must be up to something," She whispered.

"How do you know?" Nichole asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Because, those guards were weaker than they usually are, plus, there were only the two. Think about it. Back in the first war, the guards would be strong and there would be big groups of them...not just two weak ones guarding a place like this," She muttered, turning around and walking towards the exit.

"Why do you think that is?" Mason asked, following behind her.

"Don't know. We just need to be...careful of surprises," (Y/n) replied, jumping down and heading down the stairs. Everyone looked to each other but followed her. I hurried to her side, looking to her," (Y/n), I want to say I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you or make you mad...I was just upset..."

"Everyone gets upset, its just a human thing," she muttered, though I didn't know how much she was listening. She just stared forward, her eyes showing no emotion. By this time, we walked outside, silently heading to the building.

"But it was wrong...I was upset because I just wanted to stay with you. I wasn't thinking though anything," I whispered as (Y/n) stopped, turning to me.

"That's no the only reason is it. There's something else," She stared into my eyes as I stared into hers," why else were you upset?"

"I-I...I though you wanted me to go back because y-you don't love me," I muttered, almost embarrassed. (Y/n) sighed, shaking her head.

"Link," I looked up at her, meeting her eyes once more," its not that I don't love you, its that I don't want you hurt. You know my past. Everyone I ever loved has left me or have been hurt due to me. You deserved someone who can give you the love you need. Someone who can be at your side no matter what. Think about it. Your human. You'll die some day and I'll have to live though it once more. Its best for both of us if you love someone who is like you."

"B-But-" (Y/n) shook her head, turning around and walking off. I bite my lip, looking down. I felt a hand on my shoulder as I looked up and meet Avery's eyes.

"Come on dear, lets get going," she smiled slightly as I nodded. We walked after the others, heading to the side of the building. Avery walked at my side as I stared at the ground, thinking about what (Y/n) said. I get what she's saying but...I don't want to fall in love with anyone else. She's the only person I've ever loved this much. She may not be the best at showing her love and she may not have had the best pass but...I love her. I don't want her to leave. There has to be some way...so way that we can be together. That has to be someway to love each other.
