I know (Y/n) said to get some sleep last night but, it didn't happen. I lied awake thinking about how things would go. By the time I got sleep, it was already time to get going. Everyone was getting ready, not much talking went on.

"Is everyone ready to go?" (Y/n) walked over to everyone, her sword in hand. Avery stood at her side, her hands cupped in front of her as she had a small, hopeful smile.

"Today's the day everyone, just like all those years ago~" She smiled, dipping her head.

"Its been so long since the first war...though it seems like just yesterday," Mason shook his head.

"Time does fly," Lina smiled, closed her eyes. (Y/n) nodded, turning around and staring to walk," lets get moving, to the castle."

Everyone nodded, getting their things and falling (Y/n). I hurried to her side, looking around the field and taking in everything. On the far side of the field, I could make out the shape of a town. The city was behind us a few miles, the field was like a barrier between the two. Behind all the houses and stuff was the shape of a castle, though you could hardly see it for one, we were still pretty far from it, and two, the sky was still dark. The sun hasn't even rises yet, though, (Y/n) said that was for the best.

The grass was pretty long, dry, but long. It made it easier to hide in and harder for any guards guarding the outside of the town to spot us. Though I felt pretty hidden, I couldn't help but wonder if Damien could call our next move. By the sound of things, it sounded like (Y/n) and Damien thought the same, which would make it easy for them to perdic each others moves. Its hard to say how things will go.

"Have you been to the castle since the war?" I asked, lookign to (Y/n) as she shrugged.

"Well, since Damien ruled, I've been here once, that was before I declared war with him," She explained, staring forward," though since the war really stared, I haven't."

"...Oh..." I looked forward as we got closer to the gates. The gates were broken down from what I could see, burn looking," was there a fire?"

"Yes. That was the day Damien first became evil. He lit the town on fire and stared his evil rain. I don't think he's ever bothered to fix anything but the castle," (Y/n) stopped at the gates, putting a hand on the burned wood.

"This is the place, huh?" Mason shook his head," just keeps getting better, doesn't it?"

"So, from here on out, what do we do, (Y/n)?" Nichole asked. (Y/n) looked at her hand, rubbing the ash against her figure tips.

"We hope for the best. We need to go straight to the castle, no delays. Be ready to fight. This place will be swarming with guards," she looked back at everyone, then the town. Everyone got their weapons ready, nodding.

"What about a fighting plan?" Lina asked, tilting her head.

"We'll find Damien and then decide," (Y/n) turned, walking into the town. I followed behind, looking at all the homes that were burned to a crisp. I wonder how many family's were left homeless after this...how many dead...

The only sound we heard was the wind and the sound of our boots hitting the stone ground. The place was a ghost town really. I couldn't help but get chills at the looks of everything. Everyone keep their eyes open for monsters or guards, though so far, nothing came.

(Y/n) walked forward, lookign around at all the homes in the corner of her eyes. Her glaze softened as she looked at the town. I couldn't help but think about this being her old home. This was the town she grew up in. She had friends, she had family, memory's, her everything was here...and it was all destroyed. Now she came back, looking at the broken town with her own eyes, remembering the times she had with her family, with her parents, with Damien...
