Chapter 10

Michaels pov

Brooke pushed my hand away and tugged down her shirt. "It doesn't matter" she said with hurt and anger laced in her voice.

"Why?" I asked as I starred at her scars.

"Chase, that evil Bitch, queen bee from school, and you." She answered.

Me? How could I bring her to hurt herself? I would only joke around with her. if I hurt her that badly why did she kiss me?

Her brothers name is the same as one of my ex best friends, we grew apart beginning of high school. I got into my car and went to Jonathan's house. He was having a party tonight.

Just as I arrived the guys new I was bothered. Thankfully Jonathan was the smarter of the two.

"What's up Michael?" Jonathan smirked as we went to his office.

"I need to know everything about Chase Sanders and how badly did I bully Brooke?" I asked.

"The nerd?" He questioned as I nodded.

"Dude you ripped her apart, she didn't come to school for a month once, I'm surprised she even showed up when you called her an alcoholic" he smirked.

"She's not an alcoholic, she barely drinks but when she does drink, she drinks" I mumbled.

Jonathan gave me the knowing look that I was definitely falling for her.

I went back down to see the queen bee herself dancing with a random guy like she does at ever party and then she wonders why I don't want to be in a relationship with her.

I can see from down here whatever it is that Jonathan's finding about Chase Sanders there's a lot I'm going to be reading.

I'm only looking forward to Saturday. There's a new competitor coming into the race going against Taylor, my brother, our champion for the past few years. No one knows who it is.

Except that they used to race and always won until they suddenly disappeared.

Jonathan cut me from my thoughts when he dragged me to his office.

"you won't believe this" he said gleefully.

"Chase Sanders, is Brooke's twin brother, he was murdered before grade 10 started. Remember the guy people called scar at the track? Well that's him. The day he died is the day your brother raced against him."

No one knew Taylor was my brother and no one knew that the real reason Chase died was because my brother tampered with his car. I didn't know who he was before. I only knew him as Scar. That's why Brook hates me, she knows Taylor is my brother and my brother killed hers.

"That's not it, Brooke knew he was at the races that night, she's the one who dragged his body out of the car before it exploded" Jonathan mentions in more of a whisper.

Brooke tried saving her dead brother that my brother killed.
