 “What happened to uncle Jeric mum?!” Digory continued to ask his mother.

“Your uncle is gone” his mother answered while she is still crying.

Digory was shocked as he heard the terrible news. He dropped his bag and seated at the couch but he was speechless for a minute until he began to ask again,

“What.... What gone mum? You mean.....”

“That’s what I meant my son. Your uncle died.”

“What happened? How could that even happen to him? And how did you know?”

“Your aunt called me in the office and she said that your uncle was murdered” his mother continued.

“What?!” Digory exclaimed.

“I will go your uncle’s home to know more of the incident, are you coming?”

“Of course I will mum” the young boy answered.

Both changed their clothes and rushed quickly to the terminal to ride a cab that will take them to uncle Jeric’s home.

After an hour and a half both had reached the home of their lost relative,

“What happened here?” Digory whispered as they entered the home. They are with some other relatives inside the house. The house is messy and most of the things of uncle Jeric are on the ground however, his body is not there anymore.

“His body has been taken in the morgue” one of his aunt began.

“When did this happen?” Digory’s mother asked.

“They say that Jeric was found here dead just this morning while they said that he was murdered yesterday” one of Digory’s aunt answered.

 “But why only this morning that he was found dead? Aren’t there anyone who goes here to check?” Elize added.

“He is alone here and no one checks in here until Rick visited this morning to visit then he found Jeric lying in the ground, dead.”

After two hours, Digory and his mother went home while Digory’s aunts and his cousin Rick went to the morgue to check his uncle. Days after that night, the investigation continued about the murder while the wake of uncle Jeric started and lasted for 2 weeks.

Digory was really affected by the lost of his uncle who used to be rally close to him and he was the one who introduced the favourite book and movie series of Digory. At school, some of his friends noticed that Digory is always not on the mood but Beatriz and Brandon always try to cheer him up. 2 months has passed since that day, fortunately Digory started to accept the loss of his beloved uncle. As he went home from school his mother is already home.

“Mum, what are you doing here? Don’t you have work?” Digory began. His mother did not respond until a man showed himself to Digory.

“Look who’s back” said his mother.

“Dad?! Dad!” Digory exclaimed in excitement and pure happiness as he sees his father again. Digory rushed quickly to give his father a big hug.

“I miss you so much dad!” Digory said as they broke their hug.

“I miss you my son” Philip (his father) answered “How are you? You look bigger now!”

“I am fine dad and actually better for you are here now again!”

“Ahem” Elize interrupted “Dinner is served my boys.” So the 3 of them went to the Dining to take their dinner together again. While after their dinner, they had their family time and talked about things.
