The next morning, I unfortunately woke up half an hour late, meaning that I had to throw on clothes then rush out of the door; though making time for a hot chocolate run at Starbucks.
I was half an hour late for English so I decided to just skip it. I didn't really care for it honestly. Wandering around campus, I took shade under a huge oak tree, mear to my to my social studies class, which was my next lesson. For the next 2 hours I lay there, soking up the rays listening to my iPod which was full volume.
I was so absorbed in the music, that I failed to notice someone sitting down next to me and attempting to talk to me. I felt a tap on my shoulder snd just about died 20,000,000 times.
I unplugged my iPod and turned to face a familiar, cheeky grin staring at me.
"Josh! Why the hell couldn't you have just said hello?" I asked, still getting my breath back.
"You didn't listen!" He whined childishly.
"How come you are out of class?" I shuffled myself round so that i was facing him.
"Teacher said it was free period and that we should study for our exam."
"Well, shouldn't you be studying then?"
"Do it later,"
I shook my head and laughed, but Josh's face became serious and I stopped.
"What's wrong?" I inquired.
"Last night,"
Oh, yeah. Almost forgot. I felt blood rush to my cheeks ans suddenly felt very awkward.
"Well, it was a mistake. I mean we were both caught up in the moment and all of that. So can we just go back to normal?" H said, all in a single breath.
"Yes we're fine,"
Then I reached roundto hug him. Well, my head said to high-five him, but my body was being stubborn and leaned in.
It took him by suprise, but he did hug me back.
Josh sucdenly coughed and I realised that we had been hugging for quite a while. Awks.
How is this not going to be awkward?

After social studies had finished, I went to the music room and saw 4 others standing there, clearly waiting for me.
Abi rushed over and introduced my to them all:
Scott- an over-confident drummer that was clearly a player. He seemed like he was quite funny though, which I always liked in a person. He was tall and had muscles bulging out of his t-shirt with ash blonde hair and dark brown eyes.
Erin - a shy looking girl who was Scott's sister. She was a guitarist and very good too. Erin seemed shy and I'm guessing why she barely spoke a word to me. She had long blonde hair like Scott, but blue eyes and was petite.
Abi - the girl I meet yesterday who was lead femal vocalist. With long red hair and an out-going personality she was made to be a singer. Abi never stopped talking and I didn't think that she would any time soon.
Josh - well, it's josh.
Tamara - a snobby little bitc.... Hey calm down now eve. A... Difficult person who was not the stereotype popular bitchy girl. Her flowing black hair looked natural and her face was pale and she wore dramatic eye make-up. I was expecting a orange blonde bimbo who wore high heels amd short skirts. But no, here she was in coverse and skinny jeans. Not a look of sluttiness around her. From what she did say though she did seem a bit... Well okay then, a lot bitchy and snobbish. And her voice, well it was not a nice sounf at all. A cat's claws being scraped down a black board who sound more appealing than her voice if I was to be blunt about it all.
That whole afternoon, I wax overwhelmed with everything but I learned that the band was yet to be named and that I should write a song for a small gig at a coffee house.
Time for the creative juices ti flow.
