I hadn’t seen Josh all day the next day as he was at practice for some huge football game in a few weeks and their coach was making them have 3 hours training every single day until the game.
Though, I did meet him in the music practice room with the rest of the band to tell them the news about May’s Diner and we both hoped that they would be at least willing to do the gigs.
“Right guys, Josh and I went to this small diner last night together...”
“Oooh. Was it a date?” Abi interrupted.
I blushed furiously, giving it away majorly.
“Yes. And we are now going out,” Josh stated loudly and as if to prove his point, he held my hand up above our heads as if we were some sort of team of superheroes.
“Awwww aren’t you cuties,” Abi said and came over and pinched mine and Joshes cheeks.
Erin came up to me and awed with Abi and I stepped back to get them both to stop cooing as if we were babies.
“Dude, are you serious?” Scott said, looking angry.
“Shut up Scott,” he said cutting him off from whatever he was going to say.
I then noticed Tamara’s face – pure hatred and maybe a bit of jealousy? I don’t know why she was like that but then I thought to her flirting with him a few days ago and could understand where she was coming from. *Mental Note* Talk to Tamara after band practice.
“Okay guys can we get back to the story at hand? Good. Well to be short, the owner needs more money and we said that the band would play a gig there every Saturday and therefore making publicity for the band and money for the business,”
“Yeah. It would give us practice and a chance to be further known outside of campus.”
Everyone agreed that we would play there and Josh and I were very happy. I still wasn’t sure that why the diner meant so much to Josh, but I and everyone else was happy to help May.
“Also, I was thinking and I have an old song that I wrote last year and a band name. I was thinking that I could write a song that was titles out band name eventually and I began to think. I came up with SEAT J and Of Royalty and Rebel,”
“There good. We’ll think about that later though. Can you play the song?”
I stepped up to the piano and put the music sheet down. I then handed the lyric and other music sheets to the band and I divided it up into parts for Josh and Abi. I gave Scott and Erin the drum and guitar music sheets and we were set.
The first time round, we didn’t even get to the lyrics part so I decided to help each individual person.
“Right Scott, it’s G G# A B then the chords, got it?”
“Erin, a fast steady beat then after 4 bars hit the cymbals then repeat,”
“Okay, 3, 2, 1!” I said.
This time it sounded a lot better and then after the instrumental, Josh came in singing.
You know you got it right when the time is good,
When the moments perfect in all ways,
You know you got it right when she feels the same,
When you can relate to everything she says,
Then Abi
I know I’ve got it right ‘cause you feel the same,
‘Cause we kissed and I knew,
That I’ve got it right ‘cause you make my heart beat,
So fast and I know you feel it too,
Then they harmonized together,
Baby, We’ve got it right here,
Right now,
Nowhere and No-one else I got no fear,
Wanna stay,
‘Cause baby we’ve got it right here,
The song ended and everyone began to cheer.
“That’s amazing Abi!”
“Love it!”
“Guys, it was you who performed amazingly! Not me,” I was always modest and didn’t believe that I was that good. I mean, song writing was just a hobby.
“No, your like the mastermind behind this group. 99.999999% of the credit goes back to you. Remember that,” Erin told me and I hugged her.
Erin was a very deep person and I think if I had any issues at all, I would go to her as she seemed a lot more secretive and sensitive that Abi.
“Right everyone, how about shakes?” Scott said.
“We could go to May’s Diner and tell her about all the band stuff,” Josh suggested and we all began walking out of the practice room.
“Wait, we won’t have enough cars. How about Josh takes Erin Abi and Scott and I take Tamara?”
I left no rroom for disagreement and practically dragged Tamara out to my car. Once we were off, I broke the icy cold silence.
“So why did you give me evil eyes when you found out that I was going out with Josh?” I asked bluntly, but hey it’s better just to cut to the chase.
“Because you are a good for nothing witch who really doesn’t deserve someone like Josh. I mean look at you – spots, pale skin, hair that is quite frankly horrible and you are fat. Whereas Josh; dreamy eyes, perfect hair and don’t even get me started on those abs. Come on, did you really think that he would ever want to go out with you? It’s probably so that you stay writing songs for the band and everything. He likes me. He even told me a matter of days ago. And thanks a lot for putting me in the song. Guess it was just nepa…. Neppa….. favouritism and no offense but your piano sounded crap and I am better than you,”
And with that she stormed out of the car.
Hey guys! I wrote this because I am disgusted. A girl that I sit next to in my French lessons was talking to me and we were discussing french adjectives. When 'gros' the french word fo fat came up on the board she said "Gosh I'm fat," And when I told her she was not she said "Oh I really am. I have practically trained myself to hold my stomach in."
I felt so bad for her beccause no-one should be made to feel like that so that they have to change themselves. It is wrong. No one should have any insecuirities because the people who are saying you are ugly or fat or stupid are lcearly jealous of you.
Rant over. Okay so I want you to decided what band name. SEAT J or Of Royalty and Rebel. Please leave a comment below with your vite and it will be announced in the next chapter!
