Chapter 2

I start school today. Am I ready? No, who is ever ready for their first day of school in a new place? I get dressed and i go to the bathroom. I straighten my hair and I go to the living room.

I am shoved to the ground and I look up to see a slut. Well, a girl with black hair.

"Listen here new girl. I am the it girl of this school! Stay clear of me."

"Lighten up here !" I hear a male voice.

This girl ignores the male and she attacks me. She is throwing punches. The guy pulls her off and shoves her away.

"Here." The guy helps me up.

"Thanks. I'm Maria." I say.

"I'm Embry and I can be your hero, if you want me to be." He smiles.

I giggle and he walks me to the office. I get my schedule and Embry studies mine.

"We have every class but last period to together. Come on. The gym is on the other end of the school." Embry smiles and he escorts me to our gym class.

I am sitting with Embry and his friends at lunch. He has only one female in his group of friends. Leah Clearwater. Seth is her brother.

"Where'd ya move from?" Leah asks.

"California." I reply.

Paul wolf whistles. I giggle again and I rest my head on my arms. Embry is so cute. He has well detailed facial features. He has strong jaws. His hair is cut like the other boys. He has brown eyes and he is just so.... Perfect.

I sigh as the bell for class rings. Leah walks with me because this is for last period. I have it with her and Kim. Kim is dating Jared Cameron. They are so in love.... It is almost unreal.

Leah walks me home and gives me a light hug. "Have a good weekend! Hey, wanna come with me tomorrow to my exes and his wives? She cooks real good food."

"Sure. Pick me up in the morning." I smile and go inside.

"Hey mom!" I call.

"Hey baby." Mama is beaming.

"What did you do today?" I ask.

"I got a job at the Forks hospital. Edwards dad is the head doctor!" Mama squeaks.

"Great for him. And congrats mom. I made a group of friends today." I smile. I scowled at Edwards name.

"That's good." Mama smiles.

"Leah, the only other girl there, wants me to come with her tomorrow to hang out." I say.

"That's fine. I work this weekend anyways." Mama smiles.

"Okay. I love you. I'm skipping dinner because school has got me exhausted." I sigh tiredly.

"Alright, sweetie. Good night." Mama smiles.

I walk down the dark hall to my room and I lock my door. I change into some pajamas and I crawl into my bed. I easily fall asleep. I hope to see Embry Call tomorrow.
