Chapter 4

I get to get my patrolling schedule for the pack. I put on my leggings and my 'Local Heros' halter sweater. I put on my converse and go to the bathroom. I brush my hair and I walk out the front door.

I get to Sam's soon enough and Leah is here. Sam tells me I will be patrolling everyday when school ends.

"That's fine." I say.

"Can you run it today wth Embry? E is at the Cullen treaty. Bella...... Jacob left us for them. Seth just left...." He is cut off my a howl. He phases and howls.

"Leah just left." Brady informs me.

"Bella ruins everything!" I grumble and I go outside.

I take my clothes off then I phase into my white wolf. I run through the woods towards the Cullen territory. I spy Embry.

Hey Embry - Maria
Hey Marie be my girlfriend? - Embry
Of course. - Marie

I nudge against him then we see Edward Cullen as Jasper Hale. I growl at Edward.

"Maria...." Edward whispers.

Embry and I both growl.

"We are hunting while Rosalie is watching Bella."

Bella ruins everything - Maria

Edward looks at me apologetically. I sprint off in the opposite direction. The pack all knows of my past relationship with Edward Cullen. They know how he cheated on me with Isabella Swan.

I lay down at a pond on our land. According to Sam, the treaty will break when that leach child is born. Sam and the others will try and kill the baby if Bella dies. The treaty will break if Bella is changed into a bloodsucker.

I jog on my four legs back to Sam's. I phase and I change into my clothes again. I then make my way inside.

"Why are you back early?" Sam asks.

"Edward showed up. I couldn't care him being near me." I shudder.

"Alright. Well, go home. You have school and patrol tomorrow." Sam demands.

I nod and I walk out the door. I am aching by the time I make it home. Mom sets me a hot bath and has me get in. Sam calls her daily and let's her know how I am doing with my pack duties.

After my relaxing, hot bath, mom has me put on fuzzy pajamas and climb into bed.

"Get some rest. Tomorrow, Sam says your patrolling the Cullen's and you have to stay the whole time. It's your first patrol. Leah and Jared are patrolling with you." Mom informs me before leaving my room.

Just great. But Sam has to see when the baby is born, so he knows when the pack can go to their mansion.

I slowly fall off to sleep.
