Chapter 8

It is officially Thursday and I feel like being lazy. I mean, I think I should dress lazily. I have patrol again after school. This week has been so long. Tomorrow is my last day until my weekend off of patrolling. I put on my black sweats and a green long sleeve shirt with cuts in the shoulder. I put my hair in a messy bun then I put my sneakers on.

I walk to school and I see Emmett with Paul and Jared. Rachel is clung to Paul while Kim is standing beside Jared simply. They must have been together longer than Paul and Rachel.

"Hey guys!" I wave at them.

"Hey, pretty lazy." Collin tries flirting.

"Your frikkin' adorable!" I gush and ouch his cheeks.

Embry bursts out laughing at my weird actions and pats Collins back. "Collin, you sick at flirting!"

"Shut up!" Collin whines.

"You'll get better. Just don't flirt with me. I'm dating Embry." I pat his head before dragging my boyfriend inside.

"Collin and Brady just phases yesterday. Youngest in the pack. Both being only fifteen." Embry whispers to me.

"Wow." I whisper too.

We head to our first class.

I am now on patrol with Paul and Leah. We see Bella and Renesme in a clearing. Remesme jumps, well flies, up to catch a falling leave from the sky. I see a blonde, red eyed vampire on all off. Bella apparently sees her too, Bella takes off towards her. I step into the clearing. Renesme smile and runs to me.

"Hi pretty puppy. I'm Nessie." Her voice is so adorable.

I lock her and make her giggle. she starts to chase me and I begin to run. that's until Bella returns. She smiles.

"Maria? Can you phase?" Bella asks. "I'd like to meet the one Edward cheated on with me. I didn't know he was with anyone until I awoken as a vampire."

I nod and go into the woods. I phase Ito a human and out my clothes on. I step back into the clearing. She gasps at me.

"You're beautiful, Maria!" Bella exclaims.

"Thanks, but so are you. You may need a tan, but you're beautiful too." I smile.

"Are you gonna be at the meeting Saturday?" Bella asks.

"Yes. I am." I nod and I go back into the woods. I strip and phase back. I take my clothes into my mouth and take off jogging towards Sam's. My mom is meeting me here. We are joining them for dinner.

I phase and get dressed. I walk to Sam's door and I enter the house. Mom smiles at me.

"I met Bella formally. She is so nice!" I chirp happily.

"That's great!" Sam voice booms. "The meeting. It has been moved to tomorrow. Your mother is taking off, being a royal and all. She is gonna be there. The woman you saw on the mountain? She is Aro's mate. They are coming sooner than expected. Alice just called. That is why your mother wanted to meet here."

"Alright. I'll dress nicer. Can I miss school?" I ask.

"You all are. We are meeting at the Cullen's early." Mom says.

I nod and I hear Emily say dinners ready. We all rush into the kitchen and make plates for dinner.

After eating, mom and I head home for sleep. We have that meeting tomorrow. The joy in being near Edward when I still get jealous. I may be imprinted, but I get jealous seeing that Bella makes Edward happier than I ever did.

I go to my room and change into some pajamas. I climb into bed and I easily fall asleep.
