How to love.

Chapter 9

I put my dress and sandal heels on. I curl my hair and I go to the living room. Mom is in black dress pants and a white spaghetti strap.

"Are you ready?" Mama asks.

"Yes, I am." I reply.

Mama and I get into her 2016 Hummer. Mama starts it up and starts towards Forks. She drives down the Cullen's long drive way. Wow, this is a long driveway.

"They live in a humongous house." Mom says in utter adoration.

"I know. I love it. Esme decorated it." I smile as I see Alice open the door.

"Maria!" Alice chants and runs in vampire speed to my side of the car.

"Hi Alice." I smile.

"Come on guys. Everybody is in the den." Alice demands nicely and motions for mom and me to follow her.

I sit between Jasper and Sam during this time. Mom is between Esme and Edward. Bella is, of course, clung to Edwards arm. Embry is between Paul and Jared. Leah is beside her brother, Seth.

"As you were informed, Maria. The Valturi is coming sooner than we all excepted." Jasper says first.

"Yes." I say politely.

"Aro's mate saw Renesme catching a leaf while in the air, flying. She reported it to Aro. She told him that we have committed a crime." Jasper says.

"Aro thinks we bit and changed Renesme." Edward adds.

"But she was born, not bitten!" I exclaim.

"I know, but Aro doesn't know the actual facts. He likes to assume then punish, instead of gathering facts and speaking thoroughly." Carlisle replies to my statement.

I huff in confusion. I hate people like Aro. Assume things then punish. Guys like Aro never gather facts.

"The guard, Cauis and Demetri, are the same way as Aro. They are just happy killing people." Alice sighs. "He almost killed Edward but Bella was stupid enough to step in and tell Aro to kill her."

"Bella! What the hell?" I screech. "I don't know these Royal vampires, but they sound awful dangerous."

"They are dangerous. But they said Edward had to change Bella because she knew the secret." Alice says.

I nod, somewhat starting to understand. I sigh and lay my head back. "When are they gonna be here.?"

"Two weeks. But we have to train. Maria, you won't be fighting this time. Since you're new to the pack. But you can come and watch us train." Edward replies.

"Okay...." I reply. "What about school?" I ask.

"I pulled you out." Mom replies.

"Like I practically quit with your signing the paperwork?" I ask.

"Yes. These wolf duties take all your time and you will have no time for school." Mama replies.

I nod. That was simple enough.

"Go get some sleep. We will meet in the clearing in the woods out of Bella's dads home. See you guys bright at early." Jasper dismisses and he kisses Alice's cheek.

I go straight to my room when we get home. I change into some pajamas and I climb into bed. I easily fall asleep.
