HOUSE OF TUNNELS

Chapter 11

"Guys!" Annika exclaims. "We have the big spider to go in the hole! And the 3 baby spiders must go on the 3 hooks!"
"Let's go into the tunnels now!" Tyler says.
"Wait, I can't!" Jamal says. "I have a date.. With Sami."
Annika looks away.
"Just as friends, RIGHT?" Danya angrily glares at him.
"I don't know what we are yet."
"You're going to die a painful death." Danya says to him.
"It's okay." Annika says to her. "Let him go. We'll wait for you.."
"Thanks!" Jamal runs out.
"Doesn't that make you really sad?!" Elayna says to Annika.
"Please stop." Annika leaves and Danya follows.

At the movies, Jamal and Sami watch the movie.
When there's a jump scare, Sami grabs Jamal.
"Can I hold onto you please?" She asks. "I always need to hold on to someone during scary movies."
"Of course." Jamal smiles at her.
She rests her head on his shoulder and they enjoy the movie.

In Annika and Danya's room, Danya comforts Annika.
"I tried to stop it." Danya says.
"It's okay." Annika says. "I just wish he at least cared about my feelings!"
"Um, he did..." Danya winces. "Until YOU told him you don't care about humor if he dates."
"Because I don't!" Annika says. "I really don't care! There are so many other guys I can date!"
"You can date Tyler!" Danya says. "Since he doesn't need ME anymore."
"Um, dating a best friend's ex.. Not something I'd want to do."
"You can date Tommy! He seems to like you and you seem to like him!"
Annika shrugs.
Tyler and Elayna barge in.
"He's taking forever!" Tyler says.
"Can't we just go without him?!" Elayna asks.
"Yes, actually!" Annika stands. "I don't - I mean.. WE don't need Jamal. Let's go!"
"Oh no.." Danya groans.

In the tunnels, Elayna and Danya put the baby spiders on 2 hooks and Annika puts the big spider in the whole.
"Your turn, Tyler!"
Tyler accidentally touches a string and starts having a panic attack.
"What's wrong?!" Elayna shouts.
"He touched a red string! He's gonna die if he doesn't get out!" Danya screams. "SOMEONE SAVE HIM!"
