Chapter 14

The next day at school, Tyler and Hunter talk in the lounge.
"I need to find a partner for ping-pong." Hunter groans.
"You have me!" Tyler perks up.
"Have you seen yourself play ping-pong? It's like watching a monkey with its poop throwing it everywhere! Ugh! I just want to give up!"
Hunter throws the ping-pong ball, but Danya comes in and hits it away with a pencil.
"Woah." Hunter and Tyler gasp.
Danya shrugs. "What?"
"Danya, how did you do that?!" Hunter asks.
"I didn't do anything."
Hunter throws it again and Danya hits it away again.
"Danya, will you please, please please please PLEASEEEEEEEEEE be my ping-pong partner?!"
Danya smirks.

Savanna goes to Mrs. Andrews in her classroom.
"Savanna!" Mrs. Andrews smiles. "Why are you here?"
"I finished the article on Vera." Savanna states.
"Good."
"Why did you want me to do it in the first place? Tell the truth."
"I've always thought of her as.. Kind of suspicious. I think she made sure she got the job by making it look like she was the only applicant but I remember putting a whole pile of applications on Mr. Sweet's desk."
"You were right about her." Savanna says. "Vera is not who she says she is."
"What do you mean?" Mrs. Andrews asks.
"I did some digging, and she lied about her past. Everything. Apparently, her name used to be Renee' Devinish, until she murdered her boss and changed it to stay in hiding."
"Why did she murder her boss?"
"That's the real shocking part; I did even more digging and she didn't just kill him. She goes to a town and kills someone. She's done it over and over again and still is hiding! She's a murderer waiting for her next kill.." Savanna smirks.
"What do we do?" Mrs. Andrews asks.
"Oh, I know exactly what to do."
Savanna publishes the article on the school newspaper website.
