HOUSE OF TUNNELS

Chapter 16

Annika, Jamal, Danya, Elayna and Tyler get up to leave the hearing and go into the tunnels.
Annika, Jamal and Danya make it out but Victor stops Elayna and Tyler before they leave.
"Sit."

In the tunnels, Annika, Jamal and Danya enter the room with the flavors and the next tunnel is already open.
"What? How is that possible?" Annika asks.
"Someone was in here.." Danya says.
"It must have been Victor!" Jamal says.
"At least it's done, let's go check out the next task." Annika leads them to the next tunnel and it is a room with musical horns.
"Horns? That's it?" Danya asks.
"What do we do with them?" Jamal asks.
"Play them, idiot." Danya rolls her eyes.
"But we need a tune to play them at.." Annika realizes. "We'll come back with Elayna and Tyler. Let's go for now."

Annika, Jamal and Danya arrive back at the hearing.
"Savanna, please state your side of the story."
Savanna and Mrs. Andrews stand.
"Vera," Savanna begins,"you said that Jasper recommended you for the job, correct?"
"Yes."
"I spoke to him, and he claimed to not know you at all." Savanna smirks.
"That's a lie." Jasper stands. "The girl never spoke to me. Vera is one of my closest friends."
Vera smiles.
"He's lying!" Savanna exclaims.
"Move on to the next fact, Savanna." Mr. Sweet states.
"Vera," Savanna starts again,"You said you worked as a maid for Mr. Holmes at his manor, correct?"
"Yes."
"Well, I spoke to a man there that said Mr. Holmes was murdered by Renee' Devinish; the alleged murderer on the run. This picture is of Renee', it is an identical match to Vera. Everyone thought she disappeared, but you changed your name and now you are our maid.."
Everyone gasps.
"I worked with Mr. Holmes and he was killed.. But not by me. By my twin sister, Renee'.. She was the alleged murderer but one day she just.. Killed herself. I think she was done with it all."
Vera starts to cry.
"You're lying.." Savanna says. "I know it!"
"Enough, Savanna!" Mr. Sweet scolds.
"SHES LYING!" Savanna screams. "SHES A COLD BLOODED LYING OLD WITCH!"
"SAVANNA!" Mr. Sweet exclaims. "THAT IS ENOUGH! SAVANNA JAFFRAY, YOU ARE HEREBY PROVEN GUILTY!!"
"No.." Savanna begins to cry.
"Leading to the means that you are expelled from Harwood." Mr. Sweet states.
