Phil leant forwards and gently pressed his lips to Dan's. Their breath mingled and Dan could taste Phil in the air. The kiss was so real. Phil was so real. He was so alive.

Dan didn't even have time to wonder how the hell Phil got here, his emotions were all over the place and all he knew is that Phil was here now and he knew what he wanted.

Phil pulled Dan closer as the kiss became more heated. Dan opened his mouth, gasping against Phil's lips.

"What am I doing?" He stuttered, not pulling away from Phil. His were half closed. He liked it. He knew that much. He didn't know why, but he liked it.

"Dan," breathed out Phil. Dan closed the gap between them, his mouth on Phil's. He was pulling him closer, closer. Phil's hands knotted up in Dans hair.

"God," Dan suddenly broke away from Phil, stumbling backwards. "I'm a mess," he said.

"Dan-" began Phil mortified and confused, reaching for his friend.

Dan turn and fled back into his room leaving Phil to stand silently alone in the room.

What was wrong with him? He'd never wanted to kiss Phil before? They were friends. Just friends. Nothing more. But why had Phil felt so right? He had liked it.

In his heart, Dan knew he was so afraid of losing Phil again. He wanted to grab onto ever piece of his friend and never let go.

There was a knock at the door. Dan looked up to see a remorseful looking Phil leaning against the door frame. It broke Dan's heart to see Phil so miserable.

"I- I'm sorry," said Dan in a feeble apology. Phil swallowed and nodded.

Dan flopped down on the bed.

"Stay with me," he whispered up to the ceiling. "Please," he turned to appeal to Phil. "Please, stay with me tonight. I don't want to lose you again. Let me believe you're real."

Phil nodded and lay down beside Dan.

"I missed you," whispered Phil after a while.

"You were dead," mumbled Dan, putting his arm around Phil and pulling him closer.

"I know," said Phil looking at him. "And I missed you."

Dan looked back at Phil. He reached out and ran his finger down Phil's cheek. Phil let out a sigh and moved his head closer. Their eyes locked onto one another, an indescribable emotion passing between the two. Their lips were so close. So close.

"I love you," whispered Dan finally.
