Dan woke up, his head comfortably on Phil's chest. Phil's arms were around Dan, cradling him. He looked up to see Phil still asleep. He smiled, it was always funny to watch Phil sleep- his face clear of any emotion. He always looked so tussled in the morning. Dan sat up and stretched, shivering as the cold air touched his bare skin.
"Hi, are you feeling alright?" Mumbled Phil, opening his eyes blearily to look at Dan.
"Yeah," said Dan, looking down at his friend.
"Are you sure?" Asked Phil tenderly, the memory of finding Dan in such a state sending shivers down his spine.
"Yep," Dan groaned as he swung his legs out of bed. "Do you want me to get you your glasses?"
"Oh," said Phil as Dan looked back at him. "Yeah, sure."
Dan came back a moment later with them.
"Thanks," said Phil putting them on. He looked up to see his friend looking back at him as if nothing had happened. "Dan, are you sure-"
"Yes," insisted Dan. "I can barely remember any of it." He admitted.
Phil watched him leave as he got up and left for the kitchen. He doesn't remember, sighed Phil to himself. Maybe it's better that way.
"Oh, I'm going out with Chelsea tonight by the way," he added, poking his head round the door.
"Oh," said Phil his heart sinking. "Yeah, sure, okay."
Dan grinned and left. At least he looks happy, grumbled Phil in his head.
"I'm finishing off the cereal by the way!" He called. "So you won't be able to steal it!"
"Yeah," mumbled Phil dully. "Yeah, okay."
And he shifted back under the blankets, breathing in the scent of Dan and trying to push the incident from his mind.
Oh Dan, he sighed to himself.
