Chapter 13

Maya's POV

'Maya' a soft voice whispered, shaking me. 'Peaches wake up' it's Riley. I groaned and turned around covering my ear with my pillow. 'Oh no I gave you enough time to sleep, it's already 11:30' she said shaking me hardly this time. 'More sleep' I moaned wanting to fall back sleep. 'We need to go dress shopping' Riley said snatching the pillow from my ear. 'I don't care' I muttered.

'Josh is taking us' she said and I could feel the smirk from her voice. 'Ok fine I'll wake up but not because you said Josh' I stated getting up and faced Riley who had this huge grin on her face. 'Sure whatever you say' she said, the grin turning into a smirk. 'Okay get your ass up now and get ready. I've already chosen your clothes' she demanded me before going out of the room closing the door behind her.

I layed back down sighing, god it so warm in here. I inhaled deeply as my mind wondered over to Josh and last night. I closed my eyes to picture how we laid on the ground watching the stars. Did that meant anything to him?
God since when did I started thinking so much?

I pushed Josh and my thoughts away to get ready. I looked out side the window as the heat of the ray of sunshine that's peaking from the curtains hit my face, the heat felt like my face was on fire. I signed before fully getting out of the bed and heading out to the bathroom.

15 minutes later..

I wrapped my towel around my body before opening the bathroom door and stepping out. I went over and knelt down in front of my suitcase, deciding to ditch the floral dress Riley picked for me. I went through my clothes to find the outfit I'm picturing in my head. 'Gotcha' I grabbed my denim short overalls and my white crop top. I got up put it on the bed and just as I opened my towel. (Outfit above)

I heard a gasp, I quickly turned around to the door to see Lucas standing there with his hand on the door knob and his eyes and mouth widen. Why didn't I hear the door open?

I gasped and quickly wrapped my towel around my body tightly. 'Dude what the fuck?' I exclaimed glaring at him, I watched him as his eyes traveled up and down my body, I could feel myself redden. 'I'm sorry I didn't thought of knocking' he said biting his lip finally looking at me. 'Yeah obviously' I said rolling my eyes, 'why are you here huckleberry?' I asked him, 'I wanted to see if your ready, everyone is waiting for you' he said. At this point Lucas has taken a few steps towards me and is standing only a step away from me. 'Everyone? I thought it was only the girls' I said giving him, he shrugged and said 'we decided to tag along'.

Why am i so comfortable standing in front of my 'ex-crush' also known as my best friends ex with nothing but a towel on?

'L-Lucas what are you doing?' I stuttered as I felt his arm around my waist, 'Maya' he said making my heart skip. He pulled me closer to him and brought his hand to my left flushed cheek, his paper mint breath fanning my face. 'Do you know how beautiful you are?' He asked me rubbing his thumb across my cheek making chills across my body. 'Lucas' I whispered getting lost in his green emeralds. 'You don't have to answer that' he continued, 'have I ever told you how beautiful your eyes are?' he said, I immediately let out a giggle. 'Thank you but huckleberry your being so cheeky right now' I said as his mouth formed into a smirk, 'only for you' he said giving me a wink. I opened my mouth for my comeback but I was interrupted.

'What's going on here?' A voice that's I'm way too familiar with said, Josh. Me and Lucas quickly turned around to see Josh standing in the door way with his arm folded looking furious. 'Nothing' I said with my hand still placed on Lucas' chest and with his arm around my waist. 'Really? Because it seems to me that there's more than nothing's going on here beside the fact that your wrapped up in a towel' Josh said eyeing lucas and his arm, 'dude chill, we were just talking and plus it's none of your business' Lucas said defensively. 'Josh really nothing happened' said signing, 'I think you should get out of the room right now , I don't want you here when she's wearing a towel' Josh said ignoring what I said. 'What if I want him here?' I asked him not liking the way he said that like he has power over me. Josh stared at me, taken back from my words. 'Whatever' he said glaring at Lucas before turning around and leaving.

I rolled my eyes, what's his deal?

Lucas turned facing me with a huge grin on his face, 'you really want me here?' He said. 'You wish' I said trying to sound serious but my face breaking into a smile when I saw his face. 'Now get out I have to get ready before Riley come and drag me out naked' I said shoving him out of the door, 'yes ma'am' he said tipping his invisible hat he had on just for me before closing the door.

God I missed him so much.
