Rebel Fleet, aboard the Ghost, 1732
''He did what?'' Kanan asked Sabine. He felt his Padawan coming closer to the darkness, but he thought his teachings were enough. The Force is for knowledge and defense, never for attack. Yet Ezra had used it for attack. The holocron he found on Malachor. It was doing this, corrupting his student.
Sabine rolled her eyes. ''You heard me judging by your face.'' Of course, he didn't see her roll her eyes; he couldn't see at all. What he needed to do was let Ezra know that he was here for him, that he didn't have to face what happened on Malachor.
But Ezra turned Kanan away, time and time again, blaming himself for what had happened. Technically, it was his fault, but he didn't need to embrace the darkness. There was another way. ''No, no, he can't embrace the darkness.'' He sighed as Sabine walked away, unsure of herself. ''I knew this would happen, but I didn't know it would happen so soon.''
