♢Chloe's POV♢
You know those afternoons where you just want to stay in your sweatpants and watch movies and stuff your face with chocolate. Yeah, this is one of those afternoons for me.
My brother went back to college and my parents are out of town and they won't be back until tomorrow night so I have the house all to myself.
Most of the teenagers of my age would throw a crazy party or something like that, but I just prefer a movie marathon.
The doorbell rings and my movie marathon is interrupted. Ughhh...
I get up from the couch looking a hot mess really and look through the peep hole to see who it is.
I see Noah's mom who is holding Annie's hand. Hesitantly I open the door.
"Hey. Sorry to bother you but is your mother home?" Noah's mom asks when I open the door.
"No, she'll be back tomorrow night."
"Oh. I need someone to watch after Annie since I'm working night shift. She told me you lived here and she wanted to spend time with you. Do you mind watching her for a while? Noah will pick her up later." She says with hurry. I assume she is late so I accept. It won't hurt helping her.
"Yeah. Sure Mrs. Walker." I say smiling at her.
"Call me Madison." She says as she starts walking fast. "Thank you so much."
"No problem." I wave at her and so does Annie as I close the door.
"So, what do you want to do?" I ask Annie who is holding her Teddy again.
"I want to watch a movie." She says exited.
"You've read my mind honey." I say as we walk to the shelf I keep my movies. "You can choose whatever you want while I go upstairs for a second."
She nods, her eyes scanning the movies.
I go upstairs and wear something less gross. A pair of black comfortable leggings and a long T-shirt should be okay.
I walk back downstairs where Annie is sitting in the couch with the DVD for 'Tangled' in her hand.
"I want to watch this one." She says holding the DVD up.
I nod smiling and play the movie.
We both stay on the couch our eyes focused on the TV screen for the first few minutes of the movie, (you're never too old to watch Disney movies) before the doorbell rings again and I get up to answer it.
I open the door and Noah is standing in front of my with a smirk on his lips. What's with this boy and smirking?
"Hey. Mom told me Annie is here." He says.
"Yeah, she is watching TV."
"Well can I come in?" He says raising his eyebrows.
"Oh. Yeah. Come in." I say distracted.
He walked inside giving me a wink as I roll my eyes closing the door.
"Ann, what are you watching?" Noah asks his sister, sitting on the couch.
"Tangled." She doesn't take her eyes off the TV. "Can we stay until I finish the movie?"
Noah shakes his head smiling at his little sister. I just look at them, a smile on my face.
"You've seen this movie so many times Ann."
"I want to watch it again." She says slightly punching her brother. I chuckle at the sight.
"Okay fine." He lets out a chuckle. "Does this mean we have to watch this too?" Noah turns to me, sitting next to him.
"Why not? I like Disney movies."
"Great." He says in a sarcastic tone.
We watch the movie in silence besides the times when Noah decides to question the logic of movies.
Stuff like, "He almost died and all he can think about is her hair?" making me laugh.
"How long is this movie?" Noah asks groaning.
"Just let us watch the movie." I whisper-yelled at him as I punched his arm playfully, my eyes never disconnecting from the screen.
"No, I'm hungry and we are making something to eat." He chuckles grabbing my hand and pulling me off of the couch. "Where's the kitchen?"
Pouting and whining like a little child I walk into the kitchen, Noah following me, an amused smile on his lips.
"Do I need to cook? Cause I don't feel like it." I throw myself in a nearby chair as Noah looks at me.
"You're going to leave the guest to cook?" He questions raising an eyebrow.
"Okay okay. What do you want?" I say getting up from the chair and going towards the cupboards.
"Hmmm... How about some spaghetti with vegetables and tomato sauce?" He says as he sits where I was a second ago.
"You eat healthy for a guy." I turn to look at him as I get the ingredients and equipment out and also wash my hands.
"How else am I going to keep my body in shape?" He says in an annoying high pitched voice.
"You're not funny." I say throwing the towel I dried my hands with at his face.
"Ohh really? You want me to prove it?" He raises his eyebrow playfully as he throws the towel back at me.
"I'd love to see you try." I challenge as I pour water into the pan and place it on the stove to let it boil.
"What do you call a fake noodle?" He says and I shrug. "An impasta." He continues and I just look at him in disbelief.
"Are you seriously telling me puns right now?" He just nods, an amused smile on his face. "Puns are terrible."
"Eggscuse me?" He says grabbing an egg from the fridge and holding it up.
He is trying so hard with this that it makes me chuckle.
"Haters gonna hate. I don't carrot all." He says holding up a carrot. These are so bad they make you laugh.
As I pour the pasta in the pan Noah continues. This is never going to end.
"Once I injured my finger preparing cheese for my pasta. I seem to have grater problems." I shake my head as I continue what I'm doing, preparing everything.
His puns continue making me chuckle of how stupid they are.
"What does a nosey pepper do?" He says as I chop up some peppers. I shrug and he continues. "Gets jalapeño business." I shake my head. This is going to be one long afternoon.
"Why did the banana have to go to the doctors?" He says holding a banana in front of my face. "It wasn't peeling well."
"Salt meets pepper on a plate and says, 'I'm feeling all scattered today'." I can't help but let out a chuckle.
"Okay okay. Enough with the puns. It's really annoying." I say as I pour spaghetti in three plates and place them in the counter.
"Just admit it. You loved them." He smiles at me eating some spaghetti from one of the plates.
"Not one bit." I lean on the counter.
He twirls some more spaghetti on the fork and brings it close to my mouth. Seriously Noah.
"Are you going to feed me everywhere?" I ask rolling my eyes.
"Just try it."
I open my mouth and eat the spaghetti as Noah looks at me smiling. I did a good job actually. I'm impressed with myself.
Noah grabs a paper-towel and wipes a bit of tomato sauce that was left on my face slowly as he look into my eyes.
I'm stuck in place not knowing how to react.
After my lips are all clean he traces them with his thumb, bringing his body closer to mine.
My stomach flutters and my body is frozen.
His face is mere inches away from mine so I'm able to feel his minty breath hit my face.
Before anything can happen Annie calls for us from the other room making us move our bodies away from each other.
I'm not saying I wanted anything to happen, but...
I don't even know what I'm feeling. It's confusing.
I grab two plates and go to the living room where Annie is. Noah joins us a while after and acts like nothing happened.
I mean, nothing happened but still something was about to happen unless Annie wouldn't have called for us.
After we eat we watch some cartoon that was on TV that Annie was so eager to watch. It's about ten pm when Annie's little head starts to hang loose and soon she is asleep with her head on her brothers' lap.
He searches his pockets and lets out a huff as I assume he didn't find what he was looking for.
"I've left my keys at home when I went out." He turns to me. "I need to take her to bed."
I can't leave them sleeping outside in a cardboard box. As much as I hated it they had to sleep in my house.
"Let her fall asleep properly and then you can take her to guest bedroom." I say leaning my head back.
My eyelids are getting heavier too as I'm slowly drifting off to sleep. I place my head on Noah's shoulder but he wakes me up instantly.
"You are both so sleepy. Let's take you two to bed." Noah says picking up Annie and also her bear.
I direct him to the guest room and then go upstairs. I get some sleepwear from Elijah's room to give to Noah and get in my room to change as well.
After I'm changed Noah comes into the room. My back is facing him and even though I know he is in the room I don't turn around to face him.
"So. Am I sleeping here?" He asks whispering in my ear sending shivers down my spine.
I turn around and shove the clothes to his chest, pointing at the bathroom.
"You can change there."
"Well there's a problem." He smirks.
"What?" I knit my eyebrows in confusion.
"Every time I undress in the bathroom the shower gets turned on." He says the smirk not leaving his lips.
I narrow my eyes at him.
"Seriously?" He nods.
"Stop with the stupid puns and go change."
"You love them." He shouts from the bathroom.
I just shake my head smiling.
"You can sleep in Elijah's room." I tell him as he gets out of the bathroom.
The sweatpants hang low on his hips and since the shirt I gave him was a very old one of Elijah's that even he didn't wear, it was short on Noah making his V-line visible.
"I know I'm stunning princess but it's rude to stare." He winks at me. I didn't even realize I was.
"So my brothers' room-" I start clearing my throat but he cuts me off.
"I'm not sleeping in your brothers' room." He scrunches his face in disgust.
"Ughhh. Fine then. You take the bed and I'll sleep on the floor." I say pulling out another pillow and a huge blanket. I'm not sleeping in the same bed as him.
"No. No way I'm letting you sleep on the floor." He says grabbing the pillow and blanket from my hands.
"I'm not giving you a choice." I place my hands on the sides of my hips to seem more intimidating but Noah just raises his eye brow, smirking.
"If you sleep on the floor I'll just let you fall asleep and then I'll move you to the bed. So both in the bed it is." I'm too tired to argue so I just nod getting under the covers.
"Just stay on your side of the bed." I say yawning.
Just as I'm about to fall asleep I feel a strong arm that wraps itself around my waist.
I'm to tired to even open my eyes let alone fight him on this so I don't do anything.
"Sweet dreams Princess." He says, his warm breath hits my neck and with that I fall asleep.
●●●
The first thing I see as I open my eyes the next morning is the ceiling. I'm laying on my back and a heavy weight is on my belly. I look around and see Noah's face and his arm around my belly.
I try to remove his arm slowly but all Noah does is groan and pull my body closer to his.
I poke his arm to wake him up but nothing. This guy sleeps like a rock.
I blush at the distance between us. I can feel his breath on my face as I just look at him.
He was about to kiss me last night. If Annie wouldn't have called for us he would have kissed me.
A voice brings me out of my thoughts startling me and I push Noah away from me, making him fall on the ground with a loud thud.
I see Annie at the doorframe laughing so hard.
When I see Noah on the ground I burst out laughing hard as well. The sight is just so funny. A sleepy Noah looking at me angry and rubbing the side of his hip.
"Ohh. You find it funny? I'm gonna show you funny." I stop laughing and see him get closer to me with an evil smirk on his lips.
His hands go to my sides and he starts tickling me as I throw my head back in laughter.
"NO. STOP." I say in the middle of laughter.
Annie jumps in his back throwing little punches on his back that makes him laugh.
He lets go of me and grabs Annie and starts ticking her.
"Okay okay. Stop it." I say laying back down on the bed.
"I'm hungry." Little Annie says grabbing Noah's hand and trying to pull him but failing.
"We'll be right down Annie. You go first." Noah says ruffling her hair.
She walks out the room as Noah stretches, making visible most of his defined abs.
"We need to go downstairs." He says smirking.
"You go ahead. I'm cold and sleepy. I'll just stay here." I say tucking myself back to bed.
"You're coming with me." He says pulling the covers away from my body and picking me up, he effortlessly throws me over his shoulder.
"PUT ME DOWN." I say screaming and punching his back. His body vibrates as he laughs at me.
When we get to the kitchen he puts me down on the countertop.
"So what are we making for breakfast?" Noah asks.
"Pancakes." Annie shouts exited. Me and Noah chuckle as I hop off the countertop.
After we make the pancakes and eat them, Noah and Annie have to go back home since their mom should be home by now.
As I walk them to the door, Annie hugs me. "Thank you, you are the best." She says as I hug her back.
"I think she is in love with you." Noah chuckles. "I had a nice time by the way." He winks as they start walking home.
I close the door and lay my back against it, a big smile plastered on my face.************************************
