♢Chloe's POV♢

I can feel a hand caressing my hair as I slowly wake up. I don't want to get out of bed. One, it's way to cold for me to function right now. And two, I'm really comfortable.

I pretend I'm still asleep and just enjoy it.

"Wake up princess." Noah says with a raspy low voice.

Slowly I open my eyes to find him smiling and staring at me.

"I didn't want to wake you up, but we're going to be late." He says with the same raspy voice.

Oh god, school. It completely slipped my mind.

That was all needed to get me out of bed.

"What time is it?" I say yanking the covers away from my body.

"Twenty to eight." He says checking his phone.

"What? Why didn't you wake me up earlier? We're going to be so late." I say picking my keys, phone and putting them into my backpack, also freaking out a little.

"Calm down, okay? We're going to make it there on time."

I go in the bathroom to get ready. I wear the same clothes as yesterday since I didn't have any other clothes here. I don't really care to be honest.

Running my fingers through my hair to detangle them a bit, I run out of the bathroom, grabbing my stuff and running down the stairs, out the front door.

"Aren't you going to say good morning to your boyfriend?" Noah smirks while leaning against the car. How can he be so calm?

"Good morning. Now drive." I urge him getting inside the car.

"I meant say good morning with a kiss." He whines, spinning the key in the ignition, making the engine roar.

"Later okay? Now just drive please. I don't want to be late." I say buckling my seat belt.

He drives quite fast trying to get us to school in time. Both, the driving and being late, give me anxiety and I try to be as calm as I can.

The traffic is unbelievable. We'll be lucky if we even get there today.

We get there about fifteen minutes late. Damn it.

We enter our first class, which so happened to be mutual, and all eyes are on us.

"Why this late miss Thompson? And mister Walker?" The maths teacher lowers his glasses down his nose.

"T-There was a l-lot of traffic Mr.White." I say stuttering.

"Well next time manage your time in the morning well."

"We're just a bit late. Just let us in class." Noah says besides me.

"Fifteen minutes late to be exact." The teacher says back looking at his watch.

"It wouldn't kill you to let us in." Noah fights back. Come on.

"You are crossing the line here Walker. Detention for both of you." He says handing us both a paper. "Now you may continue outside."

I close the classroom door starting to walk away from the classroom.

"Chloe! Where are you going?" Noah come after me.

Since I can't be in class I just want some fresh air.

"Come on! Stop, okay?" He stops me by grabbing my arm. "I'm sorry."

"You have nothing to apologize for. Really." I say smiling at him reasurely.

"If I woke you up earlier and hadn't argued and..." He starts and I cut him off.

"It's okay." I smile tiredly.

We went to sleep so late last night and I'm miserable without my good night sleep.

I hoped I would go home and sleep after school but I have detention, so afternoon plans are ruined.

"What we doing for the rest of the period?" Noah asks placing an arm around my shoulders.

I shift uncomfortably, not being used to stuff like this.

"I-I..." I clear my throat and try to continue. Why now? "I don't know."

He moves in front of me holding my hands in his.

"Can I ask something of you?" He says softly. I nod. "Don't be nervous around me, okay? Nor anxious."

I really shouldn't but I can't help it.

"You know I can't do anything about it." I wish I could just tell myself to stop fricking stuttering but it doesn't work like that unfortunately.

"Yeah. You're right. Nevermind." He lowers his head, his attitude changing.

"I will try though." His face lights up. He pulls me in for a hug, keeping his arms tight around my body.

I'm starving by the time lunch rolls by.

I devour my burger before anyone else has had their third bite.

I was really hungry okay? Waking up late resulted in me not having my glorious breakfast.

Me and Harper were sitting opposite the two boys.

They are invested in their own conversation from across the table.

"You are basically drooling over Noah right now." Harper comments besides me in a low voice, teasing me.

Was I staring? I didn't even realize it.

"I was not. Stop making stuff up." I snap my eyes away from Noah and towards her.

"Soon your eyes were going to turn into heart shapes and you'll look like that emoji, so don't tell me you weren't checking him out." She raises her eyebrows smirking teasingly.

"Shut up. By the way I can't go home with you today."

"Do you have any other plans? Including someone who's name starts with N by any chance?" She continues taunting me.

I roll my eyes. "I have detention Harper."

Her eyes widen before she bursts out laughing.

The boys along with a couple of tables around had turned their attention towards us.

"What's with her?" Noah says pointing towards Harper.

"I just told her I have detention after school." I shrug.

She doesn't stop laughing. I swear a demon has possessed her body.

"Harper!" I half shout, smacking her arm.

She stops finally. Seriously Harp!

"You? Detention? You're joking right?!"

"No, it's true." Noah intervened.

"No way. For what?" She asks.

"Being late for class. I woke up late." I explain. "And this guy here," I say pointing at Noah, "argued with the teacher. You know how Mr.White gets."

"Wait!" She turns to me. "You promised me you would come with me shopping after school today."

Oh right. I totally forgot. It would do me good to spend sometime with my best friend, but maybe not today apparently.

"You forgot didn't you?" She asks.

"Maybe. But what so ever we can't go today."

"Please. After detention." She pleads.

I sigh. "Fine." As soon as those words leave my mouth she smiles victoriously.

"See you after school." I say and get up leaving since I need to get ready for my next class.

A hand comes to contact with mine, our fingers lacing.

"Noah, what are you doing?" I whisper-yell at him, blushing a crimson red.

"What? You're my girlfriend." He shrugs. "You look cute when you blush."

That just makes me blush even more.

"Save the display of affection for later." I pull my hand out of his smiling and stopping in front of my locker.

"Will do." He says from behind me. He plants a kiss on the top of my head before leaving.

I bury my face in my hands tying to get that stupid smile off my face. I have to admit that this is nice.

“Oh look at these two. Getting cozy I see. Don’t get too used to it honey cause it’s never going to last.”  I hear a voice from my left and I turn around only to see Bailey standing there with her hands on her hips, only trying to look intimidating.

“What’s your problem?” I roll my eyes at her.

“Oh nothing. Just warning you.”

“No I meant your problem with me. I only had a crush on your boyfriend while you had him all to yourself. I don’t understand why you saw and still see me as such a threat. Besides I’m totally over that… As you can see.” I deserve a pat on the back for saying that without stuttering.

“That never was a problem.” She lies. “I just didn’t and still don’t like you. But now I actually have a problem with you. We have a problem with you. We have something special in store for you.” She leaves smiling evilly.

"I thought you would drive." Harper whines. I'm done with detention and now we're getting ready to go shopping.

"My car hasn't moved at all from my driveway. Noah drove me here."

"Fine then. I'll borrow my dad's car." She says jumping up from the bed and walking out of her bedroom.

She comes back holding a pair of keys in her hand. "Let's go."

I follow her out of the house and into her dad's car.

"What occasion are we going shopping for?" I ask as we pull out of her driveway.

"Christmas is coming up and I need to do some shopping. Don't worry, I won't buy your present today."

"Of course you do." I chuckle.

We arrive at the shopping-centre and I can tell this is going to be crowded today since we barely find a parking spot.

Harper goes in all of the shops until she finally is satisfied with something. Thank god.

This so happens to be the most crowded shop of the whole mall.

We get to the check-out and I start feeling anxious. I signal Harper that I'm going to be outside and got out of there as soon as I could.

I stand with my shoulders to a wall trying to control my breathing. It slowly goes back to normal and I sigh happily. I did not need a panic attack in the middle of the mall.

"Are you okay?" Harper comes up to me holding about five bags in her hands.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine."

"I think I'm done, for now." She says as we walk towards the opposite side of the mall.

"Good. Can we go home now? I need sleep." I whine.

"Yeah."

We find our way out of the parking lot  after ages. While in the car my phone buzzes indicating a text message.

'First day of having a boyfriend and you ignore him the entire afternoon. XD'

The text is from Noah of course. It made me chuckle and made Harper suspicious.

"Who texted you? And why was it so funny?"

"Oh, just Noah." I shrug.

"Just Noah, ha? I feel like you have so much to tell me." She looks at me from the corner of her eye, not taking her eyes fully off the road.

"Maybe." I pretend to be mysterious, cracking a smile at the end.

"I knew it!" She pokes me. "Sleepover. And you will have to tell every detail."

I chuckle and stare out the window after sending a reply to Noah. The houses are sparkling with Christmas lights. They are beautifully decorated for the time of the year. Than you have the tacky houses that go overboard with decorations although most of them look really nice actually.

"Ok. Once again? You and Noah are dating?" She asks for the thousand time.

"Yes!" I huff.

"Sorry. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that you are now dating and you... you didn't bother to tell me!" She throws a pillow at me.

"It happened last night. When was I supposed to tell you."

"So after we left?"

"Yeah."

"Why don't you say we should've left earlier." She wiggles her eyebrows.

"I swear you are bipolar." I shake my head. "That's all. Can I sleep now? I'm tired as hell."

Harp wanted all the details even though I'm sure I didn't mention them all, but that took us so long with her interruptions every five minutes.

"Where did you sleep last night by the way?"

"Noah's." I say without really thinking it through. As soon as I realize it I slap my forehead.

"And you tell me now." She practically shouts. "What happened?"

"Are you kidding me now?" I narrow my eyes at her.

"What?"

"I was tired. We got into bed, fell asleep. The end."

"Yeah, right. And that's why you were late for school today." She smirks.
Seriously! Major eye roll.
"Harper, you know me." I throw the pillow from before back to her. "And I wouldn't lie to you about this."

"Well, you are keeping a lot of secrets from me lately." She crosses her arms over her chest.

"Stop it. I'm not keeping secrets. It all happened so fast and I forgot." I say yawning. "Do what you want, I'm going to sleep."

"I'm joking." She gets in her bed and turns off the light. "Goodnight."

"Night Harp."

Thoughts of the events of the past few days cloud my head, making me fall asleep with a smile on my lips.
