♢Chloe's POV♢
Divorces are very hard for everyone that's involved. I've seen my mom sad most of the days that's we've been here and it breaks my heart seeing her like that.
It's not easy for me as well. Besides the divorce there's also moving to a new place. It's a new environment, people I rarely see and people I don't know. Even though it's been two months since we've been staying here I've just now began to feel more at home.
I'm trying to see this as a summer holiday without my dad, because it isn't like that's ever happened before. Still, my mind reminds me every day that that's not the case.
I'm trying my best to be comfortable around these new people but it's been really hard for me. I can see they are trying to make me feel at home and I really appreciate that. I'm slowly getting more used to everything.
"How was your day?" Noah asks from the other side of the phone. We've been talking almost every night since I came here and I'm thankful for that cause it's helped me with everything.
"Good. We went shopping and then to a pizza place. It was fun." I smile to myself. "What about your day?"
"Well deffenitely less eventfull that yours." He chuckles. "I stayed with Annie all days watching cartoons since mom had work all day. I didn't know you could get so bored. I'm going to see the PowerPuff girls in my nightmares."
"It's not that bad watching cartoons with your sister."
"You come and see for yourself how bad it is." He scoffs.
"I have. Remember?"
"Yeah, but not all fucking day."
"Come on, don't be like that." I chuckle.
"It's not even realistic shit. Who believes those things?" I smile to myself and shake my head.
"Little girls. And they're cartoons Noah, they're not supposed to be realistic."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." He pretends to be annoyed but laughs in the end. "How's your anxiety been lately?" He asks turning serious.
"It's getting better." I try not to get too much into it but of course Noah insists like he's been doing since the day I told him that I've been getting more anxiety attacks.
"Are you o..." He starts but I cut him off knowing that he is going to ask the same questions over and over.
"Yes I'm totally fine. Don't start asking a mountain of questions now." I say playfully.
"Okay, okay."
I chuckle as the door of my room opens and Amy bursts in. "Hey, dinners ready Chlo."
"Coming." I tell her. She just stays at the door waiting for me to come, looking at me with her eyebrows raised.
"I have to go. We'll talk latter or if I fall asleep, tomorrow." I tell Noah. I wanted to speak to him more since I haven't at all in two days.
"Okay. Have a good night. I miss you Chloe."
"I miss you too. Good night." I say before I hung up.
I follow Amy downstairs and we all sit around the table as aunt Sally and mom put the plates filled with delicious food in front of us.
Everyone starts chit-chatting about what they did and stuff like that, but nothing was directly directed at me so I just ate my dinner in silence.
"Have you talked to Harper or Noah, honey?" Mom asks me.
I swallow the food I had in my mouth and start speaking. "Yeah. I talked to Harper this morning and I just got off the phone with Noah."
