//Later that day\\

Josh sat, waching as Tyler laid, asleep, almost as if you push away the thoughts of what he had put up with. He knew that if it was himself, he would not have been as strong, as Tyler had been.

Tylers mother walked into the room,
"Okay dear, I got you a burger, I assumed you weren't a vegetarian because of, well, not really a reason. I just assumed."

Josh forced out a laugh,
"I'm definitely not a vegetarian." He said, pausing befor thanking Tylers mother and accepting the burger.

"Okay Josh, I'm going to to talk with the doctor, will you be okay here with Tyler?" Tylers mother asked, Josh nodded and she walked off.

Tyler stirred, slowly awaking. He panicked, not remembering why he couldnt open his eyes, his breath quickened, he felt his heart speed.

Josh noticed, rushing to the space beside Tylers bed, hushing him, telling him he would be okay.

Tyler took a shakey breath, trying to speak, his voice was raspy and quiet
"I-is that, Josh?"
"Um, yeah, Tyler it's me, can you see me?"
Tyler couldnt see him. One eye was open, but his vision was blurred.
"No, I can't," Tyler choked out "I, um remember your voice."
Josh was shocked, did Tyler really pay much attention to him.
"Are you in any of my classes?"  Josh asked, trying to find out how Tyler knew his voice so well,
"No, I'm in grade eleven." Josh was in grade twelve,
"Tyler?" Josh said, "do you pay this much attention to everyone?"
"No, I think you may be special. I feel like there's something that sets you appart from everyone else."

Josh nodded, thinking about how he had felt that he needed to help Tyler when he was in danger, Josh usually ran away from any kind of conflict, something about Tyler was different.

Josh examined Tyler, even in the dim light that had been coming through the window, even though he was swollen and bruises covered most of his body, Tyler looked beautiful in the tired eyes of Josh.

"Tyler, I know I already asked this," Josh began, "Can you see me?"
"Josh, I can't see anything. And Josh, truthfuly, it scares me."
"Why does it scare you?"
"I can't see anything. If something horrible happens, I couldn't get up and walk away, and Josh, for all I know, you're a hallucination caused by the meds I'm on."
Josh worried about Tyler. Josh touched Tylers hand, Tylers hand jerked away, but then relaxed back down. Josh wrapped his hands around Tylers small hands.
"Tyler, you feel my hand, right?" Josh said calmly. Tyler nodded, "I'm not a hallucination, I'm really here, I promise."
Tyler was relieved, they sat in silence, it wasn't a bad silence, it was comfortable.

"Oh, Tyler, you're awake," Tylers mom said, walking into the room. Tylers hand jerked out of Josh's grip,
"Tyler," his mother spoke, "Its fine."
Josh slipped his hand back over Tylers hand.
"Josh, it's getting late. And the doctor says that we should probably leave Tyler to let him sleep. We can pick up your schoolwork for tomorrow and you can do it at the hospital with Tyler if you would like."
Josh nodded, he liked the idea of visiting Tyler daily.
Tylers mother walked over and kissed Tylers forehead,
"Okay dear, we have to go now."
"Oh, okay, bye mom. Love you."
His mother walked out, leaving Josh to say good night,
"Ill be back tomorrow, I promise."
"I don't want you to leave me alone all night."
"Tyler, I can't stay."
"I know, I get it."
"Will you be okay Tyler?"
"Yes."
"Promise?"
"Yes."
"Good night Tyler, get some sleep, you'll feel better if you do."
"Okay, have a good night to."
