The day was coming to the end, students rushed to their rides trying to head home. Some stayed a little longer and others just walked around the campus. Rose was sitting under the not so tall tree that provided a wide short shade. She was practically unseen unless you pay close attention. She was waiting for her ride patiently. Her hands were holding a metal object that's nowadays called a smart phone. She was waiting for it to buzz, but she kept checking it every 2 minuets because if the call goes off and for some reason it doesn't buzz, she will be yelled at from her father for not picking it up.
~"What's wrong with you!? What's with your phone?! I don't see it broken. So why did you ignore my calls?!"
"I-I didn't h-hear it..." A lie. But believable enough.
"Then next time you don't pick up I'll leave you rot in this school. Understood?!"
"Yeah..."~Rose felt a light tap on her shoulder but she didn't react. Then a figure set next to her.
"You okay?"
She looked over, and gave a small smile. Now it wasn't covered with a scarf. The wether became much warmer and she didn't need it.
"Oh. Okay. You just looked sad." her friend replied.
The teen shrugged, the smile still on her lips. Then a buzz rang through her hands and she picked up.
'Hey. I'm driving up to you.' the male voice was heard on the other line. Her friend was watching her. Maybe waiting to hear her voice again. But instead she stayed silent.
'Hello? You there? Oh, never mind. I see you.'
Soon Rose saw a familiar car and the driver known as her father drive up to her. She waved a bye to her friend before plopping herself down onto the seat.
