Quite foot steps made crunching noise in the snow, leaving a print of a shoe. The teenager and the old man have started walking, Rose thought it would be a nice idea to be away from her house.

~"Remember this, if a stranger asks you to go somewhere, deny it. Stay away from them. I'm sure you don't want your parents to pay hundred dollars just to get you back."~

"You okay, ma'am?", the raspy voice called out to the teen who has stopped walking in the moment of remembering her past. She nodded once she was back to reality and cought up to the man.

Once they reached the place, Rose could see a small wooden house painted in a mello green color. The windows were closed off from the inside by the curtains, probably so the cold doesn't come in. The porch was just a tiny stair case and a red wooden door was the only thing blocking them from the warms inside.
The old man reached into his pocket and took out a pair of keys. Placed the key into the key hole and turned, as he pushed the door the smell of an old house hit Rose and she slowly walked in. In front of her was a living room, floors covered with a grey carpet and the walls were painted a dark red shade. Curtains were a chocolate brown color and what looks like an old red couch stood in the middle.
"You can go ahead and leave your shoes by the door.", said the old man. He walked foreword in front of her and past her before stopping and turning around towards her. His faced showed that he was apologetic and his eyes were looking away from her. "I'm sorry, but I forgot to introduce myself. My first name is Jeffery. But you can call me Jeff for short. Mind saying your name?"
"Rose.", her voice sounded sharper then she attended it to.
"Pretty name.", Jeff smiled and walked off, no longer in sight. Rose took off her shoes and placed them next to the door. For some reason it bothered her that the man had so little of furniture, maybe he was poor? Our character decided not to bother with it and walked over to the couch and set on it, feeling anxious. Soon enough a smell off tea hit her nose and the cracking noise from floor boards told her that the human was walking towards her. Smiling, Jeff held out a cup of tea to her and she wrapped her cold hands around it.
"Don't worry, I didn't poison it or anything. I'm not that kind of person. And if you don't believe me, I can try it for you.", he said with a small chuckle as he set across from her on the ground. She found it odd that he did that, but didn't say anything. "So... What got you to be mute by choice, if you don't mind me asking?"
