Aurora POV

"How do you know all this?" I asked, tugging on the chain around my paw. "About Liana's plans, anyway."

"We're Physics, remember?" A Drowzee responded. "We can use our Inner Eyes to watch them. Oh, and sometimes a Rattata or Zubat will find their way in here and just kind of give us the news."

"Have they ever tried to free you?" I inquired hopefully. The Drowzee shook his head.

"Never. I'm pretty sure they come in here to mock us."

I exhaled in disappointment. "Maybe the next-"

Suddenly the door swung wide open, and I jumped back. Two humans- a man and a woman- were dragging a vicious Gothorita through the doorway. She was biting and kicking their arms and legs, all the while screaming "Evil! Evil!"

They dragged her towards the closest empty chain and snapped the end shut around her neck. Then they leaped back, raising their scratched arms in defense.

"Wild thing," the woman muttered. "Let's get out of here."

The next thing I knew, they had left, shutting the door behind them.

"Are you okay?" I yelped, stretching towards the Gothorita. She flinched.

"Well duh," she roared. "Of course I'm not! They kidnapped me!" She began trying to pound the chain.

"Don't!" Gardevoir cried. "If you use your powers on the chain they'll take them from you! You don't want to lose your powers, do you?"

Gothorita froze, one hand still on the chain. "What?"

"They're going to take your powers if you do," Gardevoir said, more slowly this time. "So don't."

I nodded. "Yeah. You've gotta leave it alone."

Gothorita sighed, sitting down and leaning her back against the wall. "I wish I could control those humans and make them set me free."

The room seemed to light up.

"I totally forgot!" Munna exclaimed. "Gothorita can control people! Just control Liana and make her free us!"

"It doesn't work that way," Gothorita said mournfully. "The stars give me the power to do it, and I don't have a lot of that power right now. And it doesn't work on humans, either."

"Then control a Rattata or something," I suggested.

Gothorita shook her head. "I'm kind of weak right now, and any Pokemon that's loyal to Liana is sure to fight it. It won't work."

The other Pokemon in the room groaned, crestfallen.

I stared at the floor. "Maybe..."

"Maybe what?" Gardevoir asked hopefully, lifting her head.

I turned to her. "Does Liana care when Zubats and Rattatas come into this room?"

Gardevoir exhaled. "She doesn't, but Gothorita can't control them, anyways."

I smiled. "She won't be controlling a Zubat or Rattata. I have a plan."
