Aurora POV
I paced the edge of the field, narrowing my eyes slightly so I wouldn't get blinded by the setting sun. Two days ago, after I lost all four of my companions, I had decided to follow Ben's kidnappers. I had made that decision because, even if Sapphire, Shadow, Dare and I all got back together again, some people might think we were wild Pokemon. Some have thought I was a wild Espeon, and I nearly got caught by some of them.
I had left a bunch of rocks in the shape of an arrow pointing east, to the left of the mountains we were climbing on, so if Dare and the others got back they'd know where I went. I had pressed my forehead to the soft dirt, leaving the jewel mark in the ground, so they knew it was me leaving the message as well.
I wondered about things as I studied the footprints in the field (was the field safe? This trail seemed to obvious...) Did Sapphire and Shadow find Dare's Pokeball yet? If they did not, was he still in there, or did someone else open it up? Are Shadow and Sapphire separated?
Dare said he needed to warn Pokemon. That was really important, according to Reshiram and Mew in his dreams. If he's still trapped in the Pokeball, the warning would get out... I'm just praying that Shadow and Sapphire have met some Pokemon to warn...
"Wow, An Espeon! Go, Roselia!"
I didn't turn around to face my attacker. I just bolted across the field, hearing the yelps of surprise behind me fade, until I couldn't hear them anymore.
Suddenly a net swooped up around me. I yelled out, thrashing and struggling in the tight net enclosing me. It must have been laid out on the ground! How could I have been so stupid?
People swarmed around me- three of them. I hissed and growled, trying to use Psybeam on the net, but it didn't work.
"Aha," said the first man gruffly. "There's that Espeon. Take her with us, this is our Physic soul."
Physic soul...?
I thrashed harder. I had no clue what they were talking about, but it definitely did not sound good. Were they... Were they going to kill me or something?
I cried out as they scooped up the net with me in it and set it in the back of a truck hidden in the shadows of a large tree. Then the men got into the truck and started it up.
As I listened to the rumble of the truck as it drove, I curled up in the net and began to cry.
Sapphire POV
I have to say, this place isn't that bad.
I know, I know, we only woke up again, like, ten minutes ago, but Glide was already showing us around Spear Sanctuary. It was actually pretty awesome.
There were wooden huts, like ours, everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. In the trees, in the grass, and there were even a few underground. How the heck do you build a hut underground. Ours was on the grass, although one in the trees would have been cool. It had ropes and ladders and bridges all around.
There was also a lot more Pokemon than I expected. It was all run by Spearows and Fearows, but they welcomed all sorts of Pokemon. As we were walking around I saw tiny Joltiks and huge Venusaurs. Nervous Sewaddles and feisty Charmanders.
Glide was funnier and more immature than I expected. He kept making sarcastic remarks about how strangers decide it's okay for them to live in his neighborhood. At first I thought he was serious, then saw Zorua and him laughing and I did the same.
"Your neighborhood?" I asked after a moment. "Do you own this place?"
"My dad does," said Glide. He grinned. "So I'm like the second-in-command. No, a prince!"
"Heh," sniggered Shadow. "I used to be in a pack once, with leaders and second-in-commands and whatnot. That was before I was caught, but I don't care, I like it better with a trainer and-" he stopped, his face falling. Then he forced a smile. "I didn't have any siblings. It was just me and my mum, 'cause my dad left when I was little."
I blinked at him. Shadow barely ever talked that much about his backstory. Yes, he's mentioned a pack before and all, but never that his dad left...
Shadow seemed to realize he said too much as well, for he clamped his jaw shut and stared at the grass.
Leaving me wondering wether I should stand there or comfort him.
"Shadow...." I breathed, turning to him.

Shadow POV
"Shadow..." Sapphire breathed, turning to me.
I glanced up, then quickly averted my gaze.
Glide looked alarmed. "I think- Uh, I'm gonna go!" His wings shot out and he vanished into the trees.
Sapphire's face turned cherry red and she turned away, her hands tight together. "N... Never mind. Sorry." She stammered, turning even redder.
I could feel myself blushing too.
